This might not remove in it's entirety the risk of offending but it could potentially allow police to concentrate more intently on those who are persistent or involved in producing material.

I largely agree with this Though I would add that the option should be there for self-confessed paedos as well, whether or not they've offended.

I remember a Luis Theroux documentary on American paedos in prison and some were voluntarily castrated. Don't remember if it was chemical or surgical.
