The trouble is, if you do, you are the one arrested and sometimes charged by the CPS...

I'd be willing to risk an arrest and charge to protect my kid

Having had my house robbed in the night whilst I was in it (before I had my son) I can tell you the violation you feel plus terror is awful. If I woke and someone was in my house whilst my son was sleeping, I would hope I would do all I could to protect him regardless of consequence

If you found out a paedo had molested your child and you went and killed them, you would still get done for murder.

Whats offensive about a screwdriver?

Nothing when using it to fix something. Everything when taking it to a victim’s house who you intend to rob in the middle of the night - especially OAPs. Sorry I don’t agree with you on this Parmy. It was a disgusting thing to do and far from being the first time he had done it. I see absulutly no valid reason to defend him.

No one is defending him!, that's what so many don't get, it's not defending him to question the facts and aspects of this incident.

Well considering its killed someone, I would say that is self evident what damage can be done to a person with a screw driver.

My last point on this is had he not broken into another mans house, he would not be dead. We may never know exactly how it went down.

I saw this today on the news feed in my browser.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-new...uding-12360330

Burgling must be lucrative. And a drive by of the pensioners home by horse and cart.

100,000 is journalistic licence, and media reports like this are just as bad as the family putting flowers up, stokes fires

‘Not to be messed with’ - Who do these idiots think they are Al bloody Capone! Morons.

And why are we paying for this particular Morons funeral - they can pay for it from the proceeds of their criminal activities.

Like I said, if someone breaks in to your home, comply with their every wishes whatever they are, do not resist...

Burglary is a lawful and legitimate occupation and burglars are entitled to protection under the law as they go about their lawful business of burglary and anything else that takes their fancy, especially if they are travellers who have this special dispensation..

You have no rights of self defence, again especially against travellers.

Expect a further spate of burglaries in their road, which if the residence know what's good for them, they will keep their mouths shut about.

The icing on the cake will be when these noble travellers bring a successful private prosecution for murder against this pensioner, as is their right.

Remember the police are on the side of the travellers, especially over the shrine to this murdered noble traveller.

Now can someone please stop the world so I can alight...

Savages.
Oh god. I used to work in my father in laws bar and we got a group of travelers in and this huge guy did this to his young (maybe 7 or so) son. Then threatened to shoot my husband when he chucked him out for it. It was a weird dynamic with that group though, not sure if this is common but they seemed to have one 'boss'. he was much older than the others and actually got the younger guy to come in and apologize for his behavior. Though his behavior to my husband was the least of our concerns tbh, the way he treat that child was horrific

can we all be able to bring our negative anecdotes to different culture threads? just wondering! I have never seen a thread about one incident attract so many negative remarks with no censure, traveller culture is not one I admire but then I don't know much about it it apart from all the negative press

Now imagine what would happen if a transsexual traveller tried to go into a women's toilet. I'm not 100% sure but I think the earth would probably be sucked into a howling hell dimension through a rip in space and time. And there would DEF be infractions.

His birthday now too outside the pensioner's house. Can anyone really seriously say the family are not being deliberately provocative and intimidating?
