oh, i had to sign up for epic and wait for an email to play when i downloaded it on my phone and when i downloaded it on my ps4 it asked me to sign in with epic so i just assumed you needed it.

I'm so bad at this I'm on the verge of giving up. I've never had more than two kills in a game (and most games it's 1 or 0) and I can stealth my way to a top 10 / top 5 but I will literally never win a game .

It'll happen eventually! The number of times I've won through sheer luck (mostly the other teams/solos building a ****-off ridiculously high tower, shooting rockets down at me, and blowing it all up and falling to their death) is ridiculous... that said, I have improved drastically and have notched up 6 kills in a game before

Dream weapons are a suppressed pistol (purple or legendary), a bunch of throwables (preferably those clinger things), a blue or higher assault rifle and the same for a shotgun... pointless carrying around shields when everyone drops them anyway, and that leaves one slot for bandages/a medkit

Hunting rifles are evil, I'm no good at sniping, and rocket/grenade launchers are near impossible to find

This is me, i kill only 1 person and that’s it. I completely suck at this game and the building part, i watch people on twitch and youtube play it so i can learn from them how to do better but i still suck

I'm working on getting better, I've been playing Solo games where I just jump into the contested areas so I can unleash my inner Vixen and fight bitches and it's kind of working!

I'm improving slightly... I got 6 kills in the space of 2 games last night . Also almost always top 10 finish (playing duos with wife) but never a win ... It gets crazy once its down to the last 3 or 4 teams, the tactics people use are next level.

A few things I've picked up:

There is no physical bullet with 99% of weapons. If you're used to normal shooter mechanics, knowing this is ESSENTIAL on this game. Basically, the time between pulling the trigger and the attack hitting the other players hit box is ZERO.

My instinct, from every other game, was to aim slightly in front of an opponent in motion to account for bullet travel time and score a hit. No such thing in fortnite. Aim exactly where you want to hit. Was a game changer for me .

The exceptions are rocket launchers and sniper rifles, but only "true" sniper rifles. Doesn't apply to scoped assault rifles, for example, those are still point n click.

Second tip would be, unless you're literally less than a minute into a game, anything less than a blue gun isn't worth firing and will just get you noticed and killed.

Third... Traps are surprisingly effective late-game. As not many people use them OR are looking out for them... People will bunny hop right into them if you hide and they're looking for you.



I swear though the most fun to be had in this game is just the daft stuff that happens. Like we landed in the clock tower, along with one guy from another team, and just mashed the crap out of him with the pickaxe . Once he was knocked down, we healed up and stuff... Did some dancing... and just let him crawl around with nowhere to go... Eventually he just gave up and stopped, waiting to be put out of his misery . Killed him, THEN two seconds later the whole tower crashes down killing us both, because his teammate has meanwhile been taking out all of the walls on the bottom level... Cuts to spectating him... He starts dancing in the ruins of the tower... Then gets instantly snipes from the roof of another building.

You can't script drama like that

Oh also... a surround sound headset is more or less a requirement. You can do more from sound than sight on this...
