For people now / already older I think it's a bit of a "whatever"... I mean, we would never make any improvements for the future at all if the decision was based on "what people had in the past".

I do think it's harsh for people who will turn 25 in 2028/2029 though... imagine missing out by a couple of months .

You'd also have situations where siblings only two years apart in age would have the older one get nothing while the younger one is entitled to the £10k.
