What is it that you see in Cher that makes you devoted to her? Is it that you find yourself similar to her, by way of the way she dresses / presents herself / the type of music that she gravitates towrards, her style of dancing? Is she someone you'd like to emulate? she clearly has a devoted fanbase as you have all proven, and every person trying to make it in the real world of entertainment, need a fan base, so that's all good.

Why make mention of Matt? This thread is officially about Cher, a place to offer constructive comments on her CHER - and not a place to slag off other contestants. Fan clubs stick to discussing the object of their 'fanatisism', of the person of whom they are fans, hence 'fan club'.

Cher has quite a few tattoos, given that she's only 17 and it's illegal - personally I think this isn't giving out the best message to teenagers. What do you think ?

Her dress sense is fairly unique. The music you have heard is singing isn't upto date as such, she has been singing songs that are many years older than Cher herself - so not necessarily upto date. Timeless perhaps might be the right word.

her rendition of Stay was good, but I'm not entirely sure it is a style of signng which she is comfortable with, or indeed, prefers. shame as it did suit her.

Yeah, not everyone will like her really, but she's got loads more people liking her since last week, she's actually proved what she can do. :')

Factor star Cher Lloyd has been left devastated after her great-great nan passed away.

But she's continued in the competition and tried not to dwell on her loss.

The teen singer's mum Diane, 37, told her about the sad news after the first live show had aired.

'We as a family had to sit her down and give her the bad news
that my husband's stepdad's mum - that's Cher's great-great nan - passed away on that Sunday morning [10 October],' Diane tells the Daily Mirror.

'Cher was very upset. We hugged her as a family. She understands her nan was ill. She was quite old and suffered a stroke. As a family we decided to
keep it to ourselves. We made Cher aware of it on Sunday night.

'They were very close. She loved to hear Cher singing and knew she was on The X Factor but sadly she lost her sight recently and never got the chance to see Cher on TV. But she was so proud of her.'

The news comes just weeks after Cher's uncle Edward Lloyd died.

No One's Cooler Than Cher Lloyd.

Her fave singer Mike Posner, 22, has jetted in from the States to see the 16-year-old contestant before the live show this weekend, after she tried to sing his hit Cooler Than Me when ill during her X Factor Judges' Houses audition.

Mike told 3am: "Cher is my girl. I saw that clip on YouTube and wanted to hug her.

"She was sick, but now she's better we've got to do a song together."
