I sort of think DTC would have stayed longer if Who Killed Lucy was a success. He made a joke out of the storyline by trying to turn Bobby into some sort of up and coming psychopath rather than an innocent child who accidentally killed his sister.

Mess I forgot both of those. Linda's rape was amazing at first but another story line dragged out unnecessarily and sensationalised with the addition of Dean being Mick's brother. Shabnam's stillbirth was perhaps my favourite actually.

I have a feeling Whitney was DTC's first choice at Lucy's killer and I'm not sure whether I wished he'd stuck with her or I'm glad he changed to Bobby. Having it be the child felt like such a cop out though. I remember when people predicted Ben would be Archie's killer as a joke and then 5 years down the line the 'joke' actually came true when it was Bobby who killed Lucy.

I think he said his original choice was Cindy and then Jane.

Not me guessing correctly before the storyline had even started airing

Tbh, the fact Jane was brought back to the show for Lucy's death story made it obvious she was going to be involved somehow. I think that's the primary reason I suspected it would be her for so long.

I actually thought it was great. It gave the storyline an edge and a bit of a difference to other soap whodunnits. And child killers hasn't been overdone like most other types of murderers.

The mistake came when the farce of everyone finding out and keeping it a secret lasted for almost a year.

Oh having Denise abuse Patrick for like an episode was also a low point. Glad it was dropped.

I'm glad they dropped Linda's bulimia too. It was very too much too soon for her.

I don't think it was supposed to be a bulimia story but more showing how the stress of the rape was affecting her.

Lucky we even got stuff like that. Still peeved that Linda's storyline became more about Shirley and Mick's parentage than it did about what happened to her at the hands of Dean.

My god, she was a great character and then when they brought her in for a few months they made her horrible.

I do cackle at the fact that Alfie's brain tumour would be the size of a grapefruit by now surely?
