Darth Maul was the best, a master with the lightsaber who could have been given an interesting back story, and really he defeated both Obi Wan and Qui-gon in Episode I but then just got complacent
Dooku was your just standard pissed off old boy who'd got fed up of the Jedi, though I suppose he owned Obi Wan twice as well whereas Anakin/Vader was defeated by Obi wan both times he fought him

Obi defeated Darth Maul easily, it was a bit silly how Dooku managed to deal with Obi so easily though but i suppose that needed to be done for the story's sake

Pretty sure Darth Maul actually survived after episode I actually, at least in the Comics anyway

yeah they thought there weren't going to be any more movies so they could write whatever the **** they wanted in the follow on comics/books, bet they are regretting it now
