If Biden has won fair and square, then why haven't the bookies paid out on him yet?

Perhaps you could possibly have a word with the bookmakers to let them know that the result is already in? People are waiting for their winnings, Christmas is around the corner!

The bookies don't pay out until the result is officially certified, particularly when a sore loser keeps challenging things with stupid claims. Most people accept the reality prior to the official result being certified because the result is obvious.

Because there's a process and a winner won't officially be confirmed until the 10th of January, I believe. The votes however have been counted and verified, and, unlike the 2016 election which had proven russian influence behind it, this election was secure.

To try to overturn the vote is to spit in the face of every person that sacrificed their health and/or lives to defend the rights of americans to vote. To go against the vote is to be opposed to democracy.

Bookies won't pay out on an event until its totally over, any gambler should know that .

For some added history; they used to "call it" similar to how the media do with the presidency, and pay out when a result looked concluded, but there were a couple of incidents where they got badly burned doing that (paid out a winner, then when a result was overturned had to pay out on the other result as well) so they won't pay anything that isn't 100% finished and verified these days.

To use a smaller example; if you're in a bookies and the guy at the counter has watched the race with you, saw your horse win with his own eyes... Don't expect to be paid until the result is up in lights on the results screen. If the result isn't on the screen, it's not getting paid.

(extra extra addendum; I personally often used managers discretion to pay out smaller bets, say under Ł50 returns, to a good customer so long as I had seen the result for myself)

SO yeah... On this occasion, were I still in the dirty bookies, I'd probably pay you your winnings on Biden if they were under Ł50, but if you were collecting Ł500 you'd be waiting until the end of January, because the market is "Next US President" and he isn't sworn in until Jan 20th and thus the market isn't closed.

Trump contesting the race aside; anything could happen before Jan 20th. Biden could die in a car crash tomorrow.
