Finally got to see Fridays C4, i'm loving this Amy/Leanne storyline, its finally going somewhere and it was the most interesting storyline on Thursday & Friday. Stupid bitch threw herself down the stairs

I think its great how its gradually being built up at a realistic pace and you can see how Leanne is getting increasingly desperate and Amy increasingly frustrated. And although its sort of the same thing over and over its stepped up each time, with it really going somewhere now (with the mental problem aspect introduced)

Jords will love this. She's a talented singer, shame the acting isn't. HO used her for publicity and she used the show for the same thing.

Think she will leave to pursue a music career soon at some point hopefully which is soon.

I like it but I dont love it. Its not catchy enough for a dance tune. She has a great voice and I hope she doesnt waste it just doing a Cascada, hope her album is a mix of dance, pop and maybe a bit of soul.

Gemma Merna has stated that she hopes her Hollyoaks character Carmel McQueen will "just go for it" with a potential new love interest.

Carmel will see her commitment to life as a nun tested when she falls for newcomer Father Francis (Richard Windsor) upon his arrival in Chester next week.

"Carmel goes weak at the knees when she sees his dog collar," Merna explained to Inside Soap. "She and Father Francis end up going for a run with Noah and afterwards he tells them both to get into the hot tub to ease their muscles.

"They start talking about religion and are getting along really well so Carmel moves in for a kiss. But Father Francis moves away, he wants to know what she's up to."

Merna added: "Carmel thinks God's testing her with Father Francis. She's already been tempted by Dodger (Danny Mac) but managed to resist so she thinks this is just another test that she has to pass before she can make her vows. Carmel wants to be strong but it isn't easy for her - she is a McQueen after all."

When asked if she approves of Carmel possibly ditching her faith for a shot at love, Merna said: "She should just go for it with him if she really likes him. He's a lovely guy and it's been a while since her late husband Calvin (Ricky Whittle) died.

"It's nice to finally see that side of Carmel again and have her falling head over heels for someone."

Merna today announced that she has no plans to leave Hollyoaks and is enjoying playing Carmel "as much as ever".

I think Leanne is better than Liberty and the actress didn't even have any acting training, just a few basic drama courses at uni. She admitted it in an interview with Digital Spy.

I hope we get to see a different side to her soon, she promised to change after Mal's funeral but did this.. suppose it is keeping in touch with her characterisation as the village slut so is consistent!

Her and Riley don't have much chemistry, I actually sensed more chemistry between Riley and Lynsey when the Silas drama was going on.

I know what you mean about Riley and Lynsey, they gel together well. Mercedes just seems a bit too hard faced for Riley. And Rileys puppy dog love is starting to become a bit annoying.
