I think that was a load of bollocks tbh, I think it was the Molde chairman bullying him in to staying. His kids grew up in Manchester so I doubt they'd be too gutted to come back and live there again (its only 90 minutes from Birmingham)

and if he didn't want the job why did he travel here/tell people he would accept if he was offered, it was just a cover up, the molde chairman probably offered him more money

FSG are partly to blame. They said that Kenny would have been sacked even if he'd won the FA Cup, so unless a manager get's top 4 he's out. Presenting yourself as the equivalent of another Chelsea for firing managers, but without giving the same amount of investment makes the club a poisoned chalice.

Holt is off too. Could Swansea and Norwich both suffer second syndrome seasons? Too early to predict yet but they have to recover from losing their Managers and prepare for next season.

Swansea want the Wigan assistant as their manager, he maybe good but I doubt he'll save them from relegation..same with whoever Norwich appoint

Excellent appointment for Villa. The sense of optimism after McLeish, coupled with a promising up and coming manager will ensure that Villa don't have another season like last one. Be really interesting to see how they get on next year.

I might catch a couple of games again next season.

I agree Jesus, lots of positives around his appointment although now Villa need Randy Lerner to get the chequebook out for new players and Lambert will need to assess the squad.

As long as he gets them playing exciting football again, as last season was dreadful under McLeish with the dull tactics.
