Meghan would never have gotten the hate she's gotten if it wasn't for her race. I don't blame them for wanting out of a toxic news cycle that holds blame for Diana's death, the UK media is utter trash.

What makes people think anyone had a problem with her race? I always got the impression it was more about her being a divorced American actress who was always flouting tradition?

I think some people probably do have an issue with her race - however I do personally think that in Meghan's case, it's mostly about her being American. Nor enough of an "English Rose". Not enough like Kate. Not "good blood". It's still xenophobia though - whether it's about her ethnicity or her nationality.

When the palace had to put out official statements condemning the racism she was receiving, I find it hard to imagine how people can deny any racism being involved in the ‘criticism’ of her

Its not a competition on who is right and who is wrong , some people like her , others don't,some people will racist but I really don't think that is why the press go after her, I think it's a number of things other than race. I don't why it has to be focused on all the time , not everyone is racist that don't like her.
