Her agent would have been on at the SUn all the time to run stories about her - as the biggest selling tabloid it would be first port of call.

From an interview in The Mirror (a tabloid)
In one interview, Caroline said: "It all started the day after I won Strictly. I woke up and felt like somebody had covered my body in clingfilm. “I couldn’t get up and just couldn’t pick myself up at all that next year. "I felt ridiculous, being so sad when I’d just won the biggest show on telly and had such an amazing job.” later in the same interview she says "I certainly hate talking about my feelings. And being a burden is my biggest fear… “I’m lucky to be able to pick myself up when things feel ****." (a contradiction ![]() https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebri...ssion-21505495 She was given anti-depressants but not sure is she was ever diagnosed with anything? |

To end your life is to see nothing - or NO ONE - worth living for. That includes friends, family and colleagues alike. Had there been any sort of rational thinking about who she was leaving behind, I am sure she wouldn't have done it.
We know she had support from those around her but that doesn't make her selfish for doing what she did. There is nothing more powerful than the human mind so when that psyche becomes increasingly warped and damaged there is nothing that can be done to overpower it. |

I just think it's too simplistic to call someone in that much pain and turmoil selfish. And I think it would be hurtful to those close to a person who does commit suicide to hear someone call their loved one that

To be honest if some wants to call her selfish they can because that’s their opinion of someone who takes their own life. We may not agree with what they are saying but they are allowed to say it. Suicide goes against the natural human instinct to survive, and someone must be a bad place to do. But let’s not forget those that are left behind trying to come to terms with a death of this kind. |

Sorry to hear that, it is an awful thing to come to terms with but I don't think blaming the person is the way to go. They were clearly in such bad place to do what they did, you can't apply rational thought to such a troubled mind
ETA : Obviously not saying that you'd done that Rustic

I used to think suicide was selfish but then I grew up and understood it better.
Suicide is neither brave nor selfish, it's sad and tragic and nothing more. Let's not romanticise the act nor demonise the people who go through with it as weak, shall we? |

I don't think she was trying to evade any punishment. I thought there was a whole narrative forming that the blood on that night was hers and that she wasn't actually guilty of harming anyone but herself. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I've had.
She was allegedly very terrified about the prospect of police bodycam footage being shown in court and released to the public. She didn't want to be judged and scrutinized by the world. I don't know anyone who would want footage of them at their lowest point released into the public domain. |

Obviously we dont know the reason but I guess the public humiliation she faced/was about to face even harder would have been a tipping point for her
