I wasn't happy with other events being postponed or cancelled.

However I'm actually engrossed in the TV coverage.
It's like being part of history.

Her Majesty was Queen of the UK.
The Royals could never have been allowed to grieve privately like other families do.
There's a demand of a sort from the people wanting to share in this loss.

King Charles 111 actually is doing HIS new job too.
Taking on the new duties while carrying out the ceremonies of those new duties.
We haven't seen this or heard this for 70 years.

The King, is being supported in his new job as King by his family and they are all supporting each other in their grieving the loss of their Mother.

Recently there's more on other channels now.
However I find I'm choosing to watch the build up to the funeral.
Plus taking in the transition from the late Queen to a King now.

It's NOT their fault.
I actually found the 4 of them standing vigil at their Mothers coffin.
Both moving and heartbreaking.

Plus as Cherie said, I think opinion has changed.
I wasn't sure of Charles being King.
Now I am.
I think he will be a really good Monarch.
I now have both respect and admiration for him and how he has carried out everything these last few days.
His training from his Mother has clearly been perfect from her.

who stands and shouts at someone 10 feet away from them in a prolonged manner. It would have been more effective to hold up a sign, that would at least be captured on TV

That's a point - emotions are running high (warranted or not) and fists might fly.

Totally disrespectful and a desperate ploy for 15 mins of fame, this is about the Queen ,not Andrew, Whoever it was should be ashamed of themselves, but they are probably not.

Arresting people for their own safety is some dark, authoritarian nonsense.

i always get more concerned when the police say no, no, they are entitled to free speech and everyone knows they are arresting people all the same. It shows a fundamental problem

The fact everyone has been talking about it for the last 16 hours, sort of suggests that it was pretty effective.

Protesting at funeral processions is no different to what those Westboro Church people in America used to do (maybe they still do?) at military members' funerals.

They hid behind 'free speech' laws.

If someone was hurling abuse at a BLM March or a Gay Pride march, would you not expect the abusers to be arrested? I would

Peaceful protest is different that said holding up a placard saying not my king at the place where people are paying their respects to the Queen is not the time and the place either, maybe outside the Houses of Parliament would be more appropriate, I think you are asking for trouble if you go out of your way to deliberately upset people

You will get a few dick heads with no understanding of decency, probably made up of the same morons that gathered in London protesting over covid and those who stick themselves to the roads.

Wellwishers lined the streets outside Hillsborough Castle, standing five-deep behind large
metal barriers as they prepare for the new King's first address in Nrn Irn

I don't know why hecklers choose to do this now with the Queen's death, while the country is in mourning. Really inappropriate.

Maybe actually arresting the person was going a bit far, but he should have been removed for his own safety.

Like how lesbians were asked to leave Cardiff Pride for saying they don't like dick. The police couldn't be bothered to protect women from angry men who took exception to women setting their own boundaries.

Protesters are always being told that it ‘isn’t the right time’ sorry, but when is a better time to protest the existence of an outdated monarchy, than when a change is happening and new people are being handed titles? It seems like the perfect time to voice frustration over a continued system

it's never the time or the place for a demonstration, the fact is in a land of free speech it's always the right time and the right place
