I have to agree, this is my first time watching and I don't think I'll be sticking with it after this season.

BBUK has more of a buzz, even the fake eviction twist and 'game of chance' fell flat when both should have been far more exciting/eventful as it is with the UK show.

I've really enjoyed it, if only for giving me two new RTV queens (Cassandra/Loveita) and Nikki.

However, I feel the HG selection wasn't very good - they're hardly interesting people.

I guess it's just the difference in target audience. BBCan is clearly aimed at more of a family audience, but I quite like the gritty viewing BBUK gives us.
I do understand the criticisms of this cast (although I don't really think they're that bad, they've provided numerous entertaining episodes), but you really shouldn't judge BBCan as a whole just on this season alone when 1 and 2 were universally praised and had total gems on the cast. In doing so you're doing yourself a disservice

I think the last point you made though is more to do with the stricter censorship Canadian and indeed American television has, there's no way anything like BBUK would ever be broadcast in a primetime slot.

As I said to the other Tom, by judging BBCan as a whole just on this season alone (which is really a marmite season) you're doing yourself a disservice by missing out on the amazing seasons that have gone previous, in which there were plenty of twists or moments that didn't fall flat at all and were incredible. Just as a side note I would argue that there's nothing exciting or eventful about BBUK's insistence of late in doing ~face to face noms~ or ~omg here's a secret room with monitors~ for the hundredth time. When it comes to creative innovation BBCan remains up there above the rest of the versions

Poor Nikki. The only other chance we may see a Nikki HoH is if she is up against Cass in part 2 of the final HoH, and that doesn't even give her HoH

You do know what part 2 of the HOH is right? Nikki will probs quit it because she hasn't been studying what happened on each day.

Easily, this season has had loads of entertaining episodes, better drama, the power has been constantly shifting, there's been no real alliances apart from the Third Wheel which is bizarre but interesting, almost every vote has been close (BBUS' early weeks are so dull when everyone 'votes with the house'), the internationals twist alone is a stroke of creative genius and arguably the best twist in Big Brother's entire history, Nikki's in this season and that automatically makes it better, the live feeds have been hilarious, there's been less of an overload of twists which ruined BB3 and made it messy, the list goes on

I feel like the only reason people like BB3 is cause of Britnee and Sarah, which is fine but they don't make a whole season. I was five or six episodes behind on several occasions last year and that says it all tbh

The only thing that's let this season down is the lack of loads of iconic, rootable characters but the casts dynamic as a whole has been amazing IMO and that's far more important when it comes to determining what makes a successful season
