I saw a video of a group yesterday who landed in Mojacar on the beach, the inflatable had an engine, and there were about 12 guys on it, it motored up onto the beach, they jumped off and then ran...left the boat on the beach they seemed to know where they were running to though

They aren't french though, they are fleeing war torn countries, and extreme poverty. Besides which, that is just the biggest cop out of all time, if we were the first country in Europe that these people reached, you wouldn't be insisting they stay here, you'd be cheerleading them on to other countries. Folks need to realise the responsibility we have for the displacement of huge numbers of people in that region, through empire, map redrawing leading to constant wars, to dick riding the yanks into the middle east.

Illegal immigrants don’t get any money from the state, they do get housed in detention centres though while their claims are being processed and if their claims are successful, they’d be eligible to the bare minimum assistance, about £5 a day, so the notion that they come here for the money is not only false, but it’s built on a smear intended to make the less well off or working class resentful that someone is getting something, that they’re not actually getting.
