Exactly! People need to look at the footage and decide for themselves whether a man has ‘grabbed’ a woman round the neck in this incident. That sort of wording is inflammatory and sensationalising like something typical of a front page headline from the tabloid press!

Without it being the intention, that sort of language about this incident, both trivialises, and is insulting to, all women who have been subject to neck/throat grabbing or non-fatal strangulation by men they know. Suggestions of this kind should never be thrown around so thoughtlessly and lightly.

Marcello is the most Jekyl and Hyde housemate for me. He has moments where I think he has a kind heart and thoughtful about others. Then there are moments where his interactions put me on edge and a lack of filter - especially when interacting with women - stands out in a bad way.
