DS interviewing Gareth Phillips in September, in time for Hollyoaks Later.

Hi all,

Really sorry for the delay on news of Gareth's interview but I genuinely haven't had an update to give until now. We'll definitely be doing an interview with Gareth, but I'm afraid there's a bit more of a wait in store and we'll be doing & printing it in September.

The main reason for this is that it's currently a really busy time at Hollyoaks HQ. At the moment, they have two shows on their hands with Hollyoaks Later in post-production as well as lots of big things planned for the main show, which you'll see unfold over the coming weeks.

One positive thing is that we'll probably get more out of the interview doing it in September, as Gareth will be able to talk about the big plans for autumn when he wouldn't be able to at the moment as it's too early to reveal details.

Sorry if the delay comes as a disappointment, but I hope fans will understand that the postponement and uncertainty was beyond our control.

Looks like Theresa could be Silas'ed. Jorgie Porter now lives in London and apparently has had a showreel done. Jorgie might still be filming, it will probably end up being Rae instead.

Well the Calvin and Ethan storylines have ruined her. Reading Twitter seems like a few of the cast are on holidays again, how do they manage it?

LOL loving the amount of Breast on show in tonights E4 i have to say Sinead has a lovely pair but WOW Cheryl's are fuken huge

Cheryl's breasts are massive. Silas getting more twisted, poor Lynsey getting a bit whiney but can understand since no-one believes her and they think she's gone mad.

Sinead is meant to be annoying in this storyline. Jason arriving has made it interesting, once he and Bart hopefully get back together as it's what most want hopefully Sinead will move on and they will make her likeable again.

Brendan not fooling me, he's so still into Ste but I liked it when Ste told Declan all about Brendan. Jacqui, Rhys and the pub quiz stuff was funny.

Hollyoaks star Richard Winsor has claimed that there will be "confusing" times ahead for his character Father Francis and Carmel McQueen (Gemma Merna).

The StreetDance 3D actor revealed that Francis and Carmel will push their forbidden romance "as far as possible", but predicted that the pair will ultimately stay true to their faith.

"With Carmel they're just going to take it as far as it can possibly go, with their religion being so strong," he told the Hollyoaks website. "I think that's the confusion, they really have to question themselves. It's quite a deep ride for them both."

Winsor went on to express satisfaction with his character's sense of "style" and revealed the inspiration for Father Francis's "mysterious" garments.

"I went off with the stylist on my first day and we spoke about where we think he should go, what kind of look would he work with, and All Saints had this kind of grey, dark [clothing] but with a mysterious edge to it," he explained.

"And the fact that it's called All Saints and I'm playing a priest worked in an ironic sense. The style of it just kind of worked for the character."

Winsor previously admitted that he was unsure of the romance between Father Francis and Carmel, while Merna claimed last month to be thrilled by the plot.

Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has shared his hope that the soap's gay domestic abuse storyline will have a "positive" effect.

Viewers have seen the 25-year-old's character Ste Hey embark upon a violent relationship with villainous bar owner Brendan Brady (Emmett Scanlan), which has since come to the fore of the Channel 4 soap.

Speaking to Pink News, Richardson declared his aim to dispel the myth that homosexual men "should be able to handle" aggressive partners.

"The thing is, some people think just because two guys love each other, [if there's domestic abuse] they should be able to handle it," he said. "That's not the message we're trying to give, we're trying to give a positive one out that, if you are going through it, no matter what, you should go to the police and get something done about it.

"Whether you're gay, straight, whatever, and you are going through it, it's just about finding the courage to go and tell someone about it. I know it's hard and I can't really give advice or say, 'Go and do this', so I just hope the storyline is making an impact."

Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas has announced that he will be leaving the soap at the end of his current contract.

The actor films his final scenes for the Channel 4 show in October after a year back on screen in the role of Warren Fox.

Speaking of the news, Lomas told New magazine that he is bowing out of his own accord because he wants to pursue other projects.

"Last time I left, the recession hit and there wasn't much being made," the 31-year-old explained. "It's starting to pick up and I wanted to give it another crack of the whip. I want something completely different to Warren to show people I'm versatile."

Asked whether Hollyoaks bosses will leave the door open for his villainous character, he replied: "I would like to think they would. I'll have to wait and see."

However, Lomas ruled out a permanent move to the US to find acting work, insisting that his children and fiancée Kym Marsh come first.

"I've got my kids here. Moving out there permanently is out of the question," he said. "Yeah, I'd love to go out and do a pilot season because it's always been a dream of mine. Kym has been nothing but 100% behind me. That's the way a partnership is.

"In terms of people saying she's going to lose me to Hollywood, that's nonsense. We've just bought a house, we've got a baby."


Lomas's original stint on Hollyoaks ran from 2006 until 2009, when Warren appeared to be killed off in a fire at his nightclub The Loft.

However, show producers lured Lomas back late last year, devising a shock storyline which saw Warren return to the village to wreak havoc.

Warren's recent plotlines have seen him embark on a relationship with glamour girl Mitzeee and clash with business partner Brendan Brady.

I think he's a bit shy and trying hard to fit in. Seemed uncomfortable with people being gay. Jay has not done a bad job but it's obvious they've gone for the Bieber look with him.

Clare should be back for Warren's departure, kill him off for good this time by making sure he's actually dead and then get away with it. She should then settle back into the village.
