But he's been noticeably chatting it up with fans during opponents, other face stuff, etc. bar tagging out when Big Show tags in.

I think they just want to protect him, but what was the point of doing 2 on 1 handicap matches with Lesnar without tagging in?

Well we now know the reason why Brie was off TV this week and Bryan was pulled from the MSG house show (since it was supposed to be Appreciation Night) and European tour.
Daniel has been dealing with some health issues. Hopefully it's not too serious and he's decided to get surgery for nagging injuries (I think he has a blown out eardrum for example)
