Suppose it's a decent revenge for being the runaway favourites of their home tournament in 2004 and getting dicked over by Greece of all people, but a shocking tournament from them and makes a mockery of football.

Gutted for Koscielny and Giroud, Deschamps rode his luck throughout the tournament getting most of his formations and tactics wrong but saving himself with half time changes and Portugal came 3rd in their group and sruggled to get a win in 90 minutes of every game, strange strange tournament. Ronaldo deserves this though.

Glad this is over now, can't wait for club football to get back up and running

Tbf, Portugal has to be the luckiest football team in the planet. The posts and crossbars were definitely on their side in this tournament.

Congrats to them!!!

Yep, needless to say the whole nation is gutted (for once the entire France does agree on something together, and with no riots !)
Congrats to the French players obviously, they worked so hard.

Well done to Portugal anyway. Just shows sometimes the most deserving does not win. Sport doesn't always work by stats and figures. It just...happens.

I think we should have another final. I'm not happy with the result.

France were lucky to reach the final over Germany

Not sure why but just didn't seem as much excitement surrounding this tournament as previous ones, dont think the switch to 24 teams worked that well and there were so many poor games even when the major teams were involved. Yeah Portugal didn't play well all tournament but no team really did
