Kinda struggled to how I would start this so I suppose I’ll start with how my year has gone. This year for me has been a bit of a struggle to say the least.

It started of well, I was happy and content in my 1st year of going back to college to study Bookkeeping, doing extremely well in my exams in May and finally being a step closer to leaving my job which I don’t really like at the moment.

Then midway through, things just kinda started to fall apart. My dad decided to stop paying the mortgage on the house so me and my sister have had to work a lot of hours to help my mum with the payments. My car broke down in August and I had to sell it, my 2nd year of college was cancelled a week before I was due to start in September because not enough people were enrolled on the course and sadly a friend who I knew from school tragically died in October.

It’s been relatively difficult the last few months but I always try to remain positive and optimistic that things will hopefully get better. Life can be very difficult at times, but if the events of this year have taught me anything, it’s to try and enjoy life as much as I can and try to be a lot stronger during the bad times and now it seems things are slowly starting to look a little more positive again.

I’m very thankful that I found this forum (maybe a little too late ) as it’s a great release valve for me to talk about things that I’m not able to in real life (would you believe that no one at my work watched I’m a Celeb this year?). Everyone has been very nice and friendly, which kinda makes me wish I joined sooner. My main aim on here in the new year, is to try and get to know people a little better and make more of an effort as I feel that’s something I’ve lacked trying to do.

So.. Merry Christmas everyone, I notice that a lot of people here have had struggles probably worser than mine this year and what I would like to say is that I hope the new year brings a lot more positivity and happiness to you all

Hi everyone Eddie here. Just wanted to leave my message here right now so that I won't forget about it later.
So as you all may or may have not noticed, my activity on the forum has been in and out lately. I guess I'll use this message to try and get back to posting on here more. Anyways I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas from my heart. I hope all of you have been enjoying your holidays so far.

I hope that your Christmas will be spent well with your family, friends and all the people you love. Enjoy what Christmas is about because after all it only happens once a year. Enjoy unwrapping those presents on the tree, have a good chat with your loved ones over Christmas dinner. That is how you make Christmas worth it.
