Well, I was going to mention the minor (and I do mean minor) ****storm whipped up by Jaymes performing The Homecoming Queen's Got a Gun at the premiere, but, uh... way to go Venus, now I don't need to!

The last I heard of her, she was going through Facebook pestering each and every person who left a negative comment about her to explain themselves, before Nikki Blonsky'ing her way into all sorts of different conversations just to try and keep her name out there. Which is sad and hilarious in equal measure?

yeah I'm glad the Jaymes thing didn't get too out of hand because it's - apparently - a standard among the campy comedy queens to perform. And the performance really was quite fun and unique, and I do think she's being written off (perhaps unfairly, perhaps she will be the first boot )...

Not to mention some of the queens with a close connection to Pulse Orlando have given her some form of public approval (Trinity on Twitter, Ginger on Reddit)

Tbf, I did learn that that Julie Brown is in fact the same Julie Brown - or at least, one of them - that did season 5 Snatch Game, so that's a thing

That almost certainly means a Love Shack lipsync, then, right? I mean it's the only song of theirs with a female vocal that's famous. (The only other one is Rock Lobster?)

The super trailer doesn't make look as exciting as past seasons but at least they aren't like manipulating things to look more exiting that they are

And very little is given away in that trailer usually they show like the challange for the final 6 but this one doesn't spoil anything

I wouldn't want to say anything as flippant as there being a season 9 curse, but... Shea's lost two close family members in the past month or two, Nina's had to cancel several gigs due to health issues, Eureka was hit by a drunk driver the other day and now her mother's in hospital, and last night Trinity, Valentina and Jason King were attacked by some arsehole in West Hollywood :/
