Was anyone else kinda dissappointed by this episode?
It was so short and we didn't get to know any of the queens properly, some of them got literally no airtime bar the runway, AND no lipsync wtf is that about?? The first episode needs to be 90 minutes long like past seasons

However, I loved the Gaga runway and very happy that Nina won, and I loved the dramatic return though I wish it didn't leak like 4 months ago

Yeah, it was a bit of a pointless episode considering there was no lip sync, nor did we really get to see any of the queens' talents other than the fashion they'd already brought, but that aside it was a fun start and it's nice that we've got longer than just one episode to get to know them. This season looks promising!

I don't really see the point in bringing Cynthia back tbh. She didn't really have much else to offer and it's not like her elimination was unjustified. She's just got a really likeable personality which isn't that important

This was a good episode, I feel like there could definitely be some big blow ups between the queens. So is Ru really ditching his drag all throughout the season? I know he can't be arsed sitting in the makeup chair but he literally has a dress and wig waiting and a makeup artist.

Is it really Cynthia that's back? I really hope it is because I LOVED her but the neck of the queen looks black.

I liked the episode because it didn't enforce contrived story-lines/feuds so soon (apart from Eureka/Trinity).

It did feel a bit flat, but I think once all of the queens are together (with Cynthia ) it will pick up energy. It did feel quite weird to not have a lip-sync.

My favourites so far are: Aja (even though her make-up is bad (but that's probably due to her bad skin, bless), Charlie, Jaymes (ironically), Nina and Shea. I really liked Sasha's and Valentina's runway looks, but I'm not sold on their personalities yet. Sasha's entrance was irritating and too much].

I've not been hyped about this season at all. I don't really know why because this time last year I was so excited. I think it might be to do with the fact that any season after All-Stars 2 is going to be underwhelming, but I'll be gutted if I don't get into it because that'll be three consecutive (non-All Stars) seasons which have disappointed.

I tend to find myself enjoying the queens more based on what they do post-show, so that's probably another contributing factor.

I'm surprised you found Season 8 disappointing, I thought it was really refreshing and fun to watch, and I really loved all of the final 4

I thought Season 8 was great too. The only issue was how short it was, there were like 4 fewer competitive episodes than usual meaning the queens didn't get to show off as much Talent

On that note, how many episodes is this season? If it's regular length (14 episodes), I believe that doesn't leave any room for returning queens/double shantays, unless there are double eliminations down the line
