i really dont get why they add new characters in so quickly? i dont even no there names, leave it 3-4 months before you put new characters in and its insulting how they take out a big character like Mandy to swap with some unknown student

And Later got a very good considering the competition 694k

I watched Later, what a nasty piece of work Warren is, he really has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, complete sociopath. Jamie Lomas is such a great actor, it's a shame we are going to lose him for a second time.

Well PJ Brennan who plays Doug tweeted that he is not sure about his character being removed from the credits, but he is definetly not leaving.

I'm guessing that Hollyoaks are planning on changing them again and having the cast in big groups like Neighbours have for their credits!

Pleased with that. C4 have put a lot of work into promoting the show and they know it's popular still with the demographic it aims for, although there has been an increase in some older people watching it according to some data C4 have on their website.

On a business side Hollyoaks has their brand e.g. calendars, music show etc and there is always lots of opportunities to catch up. HO was also revealed to be one of the programmes most watched on C4OD last month so no wonder C4 want to keep it still part of their schedule!

Hollyoaks newcomer Lucy Dixon has revealed that she wants the soap's sixth form gang to be positive role models.

The actress's alter ego Tilly Evans is now a regular on the Channel 4 show, having joined the Hollyoaks Sixth Form College alongside five other new faces and established characters Bart McQueen, Sinead O'Connor and Jason Costello.

Tilly and her best friends Maddie and Jono were previously seen in the programme's special Abersoch week, which saw them enjoy a wild time after completing their GCSE exams.

Discussing what the future holds for the sixth form group, Dixon told Agent2 Magazine: "Well, we've just started back at school so we're behaving ourselves a little bit more and focusing on work."

Asked whether Hollyoaks will be tackling gritty Skins-style storylines with the new characters, she replied: "I remember watching Skins and was absolutely hooked for the first two series and then I went back for the third or fourth, and I kind of thought they were glamorising the wrong things and making things out to be super, super cool and you should do, which are things that are naughty really which you shouldn't be doing.

"I like that that we're not doing that, we're not showing that we're getting wasted every night and turning up to school and not concentrating.

"We have our fun but at the same time we've got our heads on our shoulders, getting our heads down and working which is what I like, and I hope that we're going to be good role models for people of that age. That they can relate to that character and think, 'If she's going through it and she's coping, then so can I'."

Dixon previously played the role of Danielle Harker in BBC One's Waterloo Road.
