In terms of importance of a match.

Because your the biggest team in England along with Liverpool and Rangers and Celtic are by far the two biggest teams in Scotland.. Rangers v United or Celtic v Liverpool would attract more interest around the world then 90% of fixtures right now in the EPL,

55,000 and an amazing atmosphere at Ibrox v United
or 25,000 at a dead stadium like Craven Cottage v United

Indeed, they might push for a top 5 Championship spot

I like the passion of the support for Scottish teams, it easily matches the Premier League, but in terms of quality it's pretty poor
