not the pain obviously, but the fact that within a week you're going to have a beautiful baby it's weird how attached you get to them. Like I'm so attached to the kids at my work. I can't imagine how i'd feel about my own

I was induced due to high blood pressure, they did it mid afternoon and I had him at 7.02pm, only had gas and air, it was that quick. Tore a bit and the doctor went to give me a couple of stitches afterwards. I was as high as a kite on the stuff and apparently said get away from me you bastard, to him.

I was induced at 10am with my first and had her by emergency c-section at 10.50pm. I had 3 shots of morphine and gas and air and remember being completely out my face, bouncing on a big blow up ball wearing a pair of paper knickers.

Put some sea salt in the bathwater (after) baby born, it really helps you heal.

The tearing scares me a lot, my sis + my mum said being stitched afterwards actually hurt more than having the baby in the first place

You'll be fine....just make sure they don't forget to numb you before they start if you need stitches....I think the doctor thought I was being dramatic when I hit the ceiling but she then said...oops forgot this!!

Vicky, buy some homeopathic Arnica tablets and take them into hospital with you. Start taking them right after the birth and you'll heal quicker.

Will do. Am at gateshead atm (as its closer to the hospital and I convinced myself I would be going into labour last night ) and theres a herb/alternative medicine place just round the corner so when I can be arsed to get ready will go and see if they have any

Unless its not altenrnative medicine and they sell it in boots or something, in which case I have never heard of it
