My dog died last month and I had to bury her in the garden in the rain

My daughter is thankfully too young to understand what was happening when we lost our girl in Oct, but that was the beginning of her love of dogs. Only 11 years and we're still devastated. She would've lived several years longer but developed a very rapid growing cancer. She was living very well before that and there weren't many signs until the last week or so. It's a blessing because we avoided putting her through medical which would've been hell (for her). But yeah, it had to happen pretty much immediately once we got to the vet to say Good bye. Wish we could've at least had gotten her home at least and called for someone.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. A lot of loved ones around me have lost people and pets of recent. Just seems to be that kind of time.

Pips had a tumour in her chest, she was on medication the last 8 months and she was flying then yesterday she just went downhill so fast. I suppose we were lucky we got the last 8 months really
