So Giggsy interim Manager till end of the season with Scholesy and Butt back to help with the coaching.

I wonder who our next permanent Manager will be? Looking likely to be Louis Van Gaal.

David Moyes' statement just was dignified and full of class, but I wouldn't blame him for being angry in the way his departure was handled...
The club hardly acted awfully. Leaks happen in every industry. It's not their fault. I doubt The Glazers intended it.

And his statement was hardly dignified and full of class. No mention of the players. Those same players that he happily criticised when the problem was he's tactically inept and has no bottle.

Good riddance.

LMA chief executive, Richard Bevan said:

"The LMA is very disappointed with the nature of David's departure from Manchester United and to read extensive reports in the press, confirming David's sacking, before David himself had been spoken to officially by the club.

"Throughout his time at United, David, as he always does, has conducted himself with integrity and professionalism, values that he believes in and that have been strongly associated with the club and its rich tradition. It is therefore sad to see the end of David's tenure at United being handled in an unprofessional manner.

"David is one of the most talented, knowledgeable and dedicated managers in British football. He has a wealth of experience accumulated in a management career that started when he was 35 and already spans 16 years, with over 800 games in the professional game. David is a three-time winner of the LMA Manager of the Year Award, and without a doubt, he has a significant future in front of him in football management. He is passionate about the game and I know he possesses the drive and resilience to learn from this chapter of his career and move on to a new challenge in the game."
So much crap spoken in one short statement. Incredible.

I can't bear all this talk of the class of 92 taking over, have they got a coaching badge between them.

I wouldn't thank the players either they undermined him from the start. Also amazing how the Glazers are sailing under the rader in all this with all the money they have taken out of the Club, while their rivals have money pumped in.

PS I would like Carlo, not too keen on Van Gaul

Fergie saying United should pick Giggs as the next manager. He really needs to s t f u and have no say on anything again.

Would be a terrible appointment at this stage.

Heard we're in for Cavani. A player not even needed really.

We'd probably be able to get Cesc for £35 mil this summer, provided Arsenal don't match it.

Cesc may well happen now that we will hopefully have an inspiring manager. Just don't **** around with 20m bids. Won't mind Cavani if we sell Rooney. He will play the wide forward role that Van Gaal loves better. If Rooney is staying then it is pointless.

What a win and performance, so happy. I had goosebumps when Giggsy made his Interim Managers' entrance before kick off and just seeing Scholesy, Butt and P Neville at pitch side too.

Well done to the lads and Giggsy! There was the attack, hunger, determination, passion, creativity and ideas we have missed most of the season.

Rooney won't be going anywhere. RVP is tight with LVG though, so he will be top Striker. Rooney's versatility is a big help for the team and his passion on the pitch is something LVG will probably like.

I think we need:

2/3 CM's (area we most need to improve on)
A LB, RB and CB.
Possibly another winger?

Looked a great atmosphere. Wish I was there...especially when I consider how insufferable Neville was with his Moyes love in.

More than one winger, imo. All pissing useless. Young still as wank as ever today.

Lool at Cesc being our main prority smh do some of you watch this team at all. THE NUMBER ONE thing needed to be done this summer is adding some steel to the centre of the park in the Hargreaves and dare I say it Pogba role. The Vidal's of this world need to be our first call of concern once you build the core foundation that's when you begin to the add the Cec's of this world

About Giggs from Lindegaard:

"His latest speech, before the team went onto the pitch for the Norwich game, made my hairs stand on end in a way that I have only ever experienced from Sir Alex Ferguson: Do not disappoint the fans!"

Wonder what David's speeches were.

Jones: Giggs is United

Quote:
Phil Jones does not know what the future holds for Ryan Giggs - but he hopes his interim manager will be involved with Manchester United "in some capacity" next season.

Giggs took charge of the first team on a temporary basis following the departure of David Moyes and got off to a flying start with a comfortable 4-0 win over Norwich City, a triumph achieved with a brace apiece from Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata at Old Trafford.

Although the 40-year-old is only the boss until the end of this campaign, Jones feels that a player of his experience and success is highly likely to be retained within the club.

“Whatever happens, I am sure Ryan will be involved in some capacity, he has been involved with the club for a number of years and what he has achieved at this club is phenomenal,” said Jones.

“He is a legend at this club and we just hope that we finish the season strongly for him. What he has done in the game and at this club, he has got all of the experience anyone could ever ask for. Hopefully we can enjoy the remaining games.

“There's one thing for sure, I won’t be taking the mickey out of him - if I do, I will be sat in the stands with him! The banter is flying and the lads are buzzing but come kick-off time it is down to business. All jokes go out the window, it is business time and we have to go out and produce.”

When asked for his thoughts on Saturday’s victory over the Canaries, Jones was satisfied with what turned out to be a comfortable win in the Barclays Premier League.

“It is nice to get a win at home and send the fans home happy, give Giggsy the start he desperately wanted and you could tell the lads were right at it today. In the first half we were probably a bit slow but in the second half we really got to grips with the game and we put the game to bed.”

Well said.
