After waking to discover that Richard hadn't, the seven remaining inmates decided to pay Ieva a visit. Maybe they'd been right about her; maybe she was breaking out from solitary confinement and picking them off one by one - but it still didn't explain how Michaela was murdered when trying to save her. They figured that the story they'd been given was wrong, that Livia had lied to them and was trying to cover her for some reason. Maybe they were related - it was one of many conspiracy theories banded about by Stefanie, who was growing more and more unhinged as the days went on.

They couldn't actually open the cell, as expected, but the small hatch in the door - where she'd be given food and water - was pretty easy to open. Seeing some familiar faces peering in at her, Ieva was at first delighted but then apprehensive.
"Please, I haven't had food in days. What's going on?"
"You can drop the act," Stefanie snapped, "how did you do it?"
Ieva's face drained in colour as she realised this wasn't going to be a nice breakfast.
"Do what? All I can do here is count bricks," she whined, as Chenzira had a flashback.
"We're all dying out here, and yet in your little cell you haven't even been approached," Stefanie continued, "I mean it's the perfect revenge. I get it. We accuse you of murder, so you actually start some murders. Great plan-,"
"YOU plant razor in my cell? You sent me here? I'll KILL YOU-"
The two women screamed hysterically issuing all sorts of threats in various languages, before Demetri restrained Stefanie.
"I think we have our answer: it's not her," he shook her to calm down. As she stormed off, he raised concerns about her to the others. "I do not trust that woman. Her eyes, they're always mad," and he, too, walked off - as Hugh, Luiz and Mariya followed.

Julianne noticed that Chenzira had in a contemplative silence since he found Ieva, and tried to break the ice.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes - she just reminded me of my sister," Chenzira then joined her to catch up with the others.

Passing the generator room, Julianne decided to venture inside to see if there were any tools to help with some kind of escape. A large motor at the centre seemed to be the source of the whole complex's power, and a loud hum drowned out any other noises in the room. She told Chenzira to go on and find the others, but he seemed to be off in his own little planet again and just wandered around outside.

A few moments later, Julianne was tracing the blueprints to the control tower to find any other forms of communication when she felt a tickling sensation on her legs. She hesitated to look down but was relieved to discover there was no one there - but rather a damp patch on her overalls. This wasn't an early onset sign of bladder failure, though: a steady and constant drip was coming from overhead. She looked up and noticed that a cooling pipe was leaking - in more than one place - and that quite a pool of water was forming on the floor from her location to the room's entrance. She went to get Chenzira to check things out, but was interrupted.

Outside, Chenzira heard two arguments in his head: his mother and his aunt, and two others he didn't quite recognise. He could hear them furiously ranting about black magic, and his aunt claimed that Chenzira was a part of some dark cult. His mother wouldn't hear any of it, but later that night when his aunt's hut burned down she turned instantly cold towards him. The images of fire, the screams and hisses of burning flesh played over in his mind as they tended to do so often, when he was suddenly aware of the smell of smoke. His hallucinations were never this real, he thought - and he went back on himself to discover Julianne's convulsing body against a broken piece of wiring.
