Like InOne,holding a door open but getting no thanks.
I held a stiff door open for an elderly lady last week and she snarled at me saying 'I am quite able to open doors,I don't nned your help'.
The other thing that annoys me is when I take Friend out in his wheelchair,people who both know us and who don't, come over and look and speak over his head,looking directly at me and ask 'how is he doing? or some other question.
One day I will have to say, ask him,he can see, hear and speak you know.

and why should you do it when you get not even a smile, you are right not to.
If you dont though,those people who never say thanks are the ones who will say what ignorance, he/she could have helped with the door. Its a no win situation.

Just talking of holding doors open etc.. After I had baby no 1, I was shocked at how unhelpful people are when it comes to helping someone with a pram.. The amount of people who wouldn't bother holding a dorr open etc was unbelievable!
