Loved the ending of tonight's E4 episode.

The Costello's were a good unit, shame most of the actors playing them decided to quit.

I agree that there are lots of random things and plot holes happening lately. Warren's exit is brewing up nicely and I cannot wait to see Brendan's return on C4 tonight

Hollyoaks bosses have today confirmed the airdate and time for the upcoming 'Best Bits' special which screens on E4 later this month.

As revealed last week, the soap will celebrate its most memorable moments of the year with an hour-long retrospective in late December.

It has now been announced that the programme will air on Friday, December 23 at 9pm on E4.

Will Best and former Hollyoaks star Alex Carter (Lee Hunter) will present the special.

A Hollyoaks statement said: "This special one-off E4 show will take a cheeky look back at the sexiest, funniest, biggest, bestest moments from a phenomenal year in Hollyoaks. Cast and crew share their Best Bits and the Hollyoaks fans get in on the act by making bits of the show at home."

In preparation for the special, Hollyoaks is currently inviting nominations for three awards - 'Hollyoaks Hero', 'Most Villainous Villain' and 'OMG Moment Of The Year' - over on the official website.

2011 in Hollyoaks definatley had highs and lows! its peek sexual point was probs September-October, the week leading up to Halloween was unreal!

The band are awful, I hope they get axed soon. I think it's a shame that the Costellos have imploded since they had the potential to be huge characters for years to come really, Riley and Mitzeee was the strongests ones though so I'm glad they are staying.

The band are not long term, they will be gone in a few months

What happened in todays C4 and E4 episodes? It has mainly been an inconsistent year for the show as always but it is doing OK atm.

Cast still big, too many random things happening to characters and in certain storylines..

I was bored so i looked at all of the "last appearances" of characters and these were bottom:

Finn - August
Cindy - 10 October
Amy - 28 October
Tony - 4 November (no speaking lines)
Diane - Early November (no speaking lines)

Finn really needs to be axed :/ so does Diane as Sinead is never at home. Also when Diane is in she gets like 3 lines, it's a shame cos she is good, but HO ****ed up again with a good actress

The O'Connors should be axed yeah, including Sinead who had potential but her character is just overused and annoying.

But that would mean all 3 families introduced in 2010, will all be gone :/

I am upset the Costello's are pretty much gone, but in fairness they had a great arc similar to the Wylde's in Emmerdale

I would love to see Diane given a meaty story, something much better than the weak baby one we saw last last year.

I'm too disappointed with the Costello's going, but not so much with Jason going. That character started to grate on me in the end.

Seth's going soon too I think? Agree that the Jason character had run its course, but maybe if Riley sticks around then another actor could take on the Jason role in 6 months or so and the character could return having had the surgery and be a boy!

Villain - No competition, Silas.

OMG moment - Heidi's death or Gilly's showdown with Rhys n Jacqui.

I'm really happy that they are making Michaela the comedy character, it was hilarious when she was talking to Joel about Warren
