Thats an interesting point, but it would mean one rule for Makosi in the BB house, and another rule for all the other immigrants and asylum seekers across the UK. It would set a dangerous precedent, and there has already been one high profile head roll over making special provisions for people (Blunkett anyone?).

I don't know.... it would be easy to say they couldn't interview her because she was on the show. Anyway pulling the favorite to win the show from the house wouldn't make good press.

I think the bigger tragedy would be if they really did put Kinga in to replace her!! Losing Makosi to her would be a pretty poor trade! lol

I'm not sure that in 4 years time, Makosi being asked to leave the Big Brother house, will have much affect on a General Election.

I doubt it would make much good press, but as slatibartfast says (sorry, as I quote this, your name isn't showing so it's probably wrong) why is Makosi anymore special than the next person on a Work Visa?

I doubt Tony Blair has watched a Big Brother show, or what it means.

I think her going would be a good thing.

Imagine, what would Kemal and Vanessa so then? lol

It would be great.

Do they get paid for being on Big Brother? If they do she is in work.

I couldn't see the Government not giving a overseas singer a temporary work permit... the same could be arranged for Makosi as an entertainer.

Sits back to wait for all the Makosi is not entertaining replies..... YAWN!

It's a different job. If you change jobs, you have to re-apply and your current Visa ends.

The application can take 5-14 weeks. How long before going into the house do they find out they are in BB?

But as Linny says, she may not have quit. I'm only assuming she has as it's what most people say about her job.

If she gets paid to be in BB, she also has to declare that as her Visa permits her to whatever job she puts on the form, she would have to go through another long process for BB.

I guess we will just have to sit back and watch what happens then. It all seems very confusing to me especially since she is from a commonwealth country that rules are so tight.

We exploit them for years and took their gold, but when it comes to them coming here for work they have a hard time of getting a visa.

An application time of 5-14 weeks if far to long... too much red tape if you ask me.

It's like anything in Britain. Something simple that should take very little time, takes ages.

why should it matter if its a bad move or there's no food there?

If she doesnt belong she doesnt belong.

Sorry but anyone else here illegally they would get kicked back with no hesitation. Why shouldnt they do the same to her just cause shes on TV right now?

Sorry for the harsh words but... you know.
