It really is because he will not have a proper discussion but will begin attempting to formulate new 'sophisticated' angles in some strange sort of condescending way.
Add to that his highly annoying moaning sexually at entirely inappropriate spaces, sighing, stilted laughter or giggles in wrong places.
I can see why "Okay.. I do not want to talk to you anymore" is a very common reaction to him.
