People need to stop thinking life is like a romantic movie. Life is a porn film.
We are living in a material world and you are a material fella. lol. You know what people usually say when they're on their deathbeds? They don't regret the money they made or didn't make, the status they attained in life or the depths of financial ruin they sank to. What they regret is not connecting more with people and telling the people they care about that they loved them with all their hearts. Making a difference in others lives. I find that interesting.

Money can't make you happy if you're not already happy but it can help to take away everyday worries like paying bills and enable you to do things that you might not have been able to do otherwise which would make you happier!!!

Oh I know I'm a material guy, and quite a spoilt one too, but hey, each one has its vice.
But with all the money of the world, you still can tell people you love them. Why does money have to prevent people from being happy and telling each other their feelings ? That's in people's head really.
Rich people who are unhappy didn't handle all this stuff well.

And after all, it's only a 1/10,000 chance so I could push it plenty if times before someone I love dies.

And to people who say money isn't everything, go and tell that to a blue collar worker who kills his ass off to earn barely Ł1000 per month. You'll see what he tells you.

To me, money is everything. It might not buy love, yet you feel much better when you have money OR if money doesn't buy happiness, then give it to me, I want to be unhappy.
Money won't buy you happiness if you're genuinely unhappy though,if you have no friends or a partner or whatever. If you're happy anyways, money will greatly increase your happiness, lol!

I didnt read any of the other answers, so going with gut instinct. Given the situation, I would press it once.
There is no way I am greedy enough to want more than a million. BUt for the first million, I think I would do it, given those odds.
YOu have to understand, those are really, really small odds!!!
But I just wouldnt take any chance after Ive already got a million.

Do you take the risk and press the button? If so, how many times? Or if not, what if the situation was different and only people who you didn't know could die instead?

Think about the situation carefully before answering please.

Good question, and I dont think nobody would ever know what they'd actually do unless put in that situation.

But for me, I say I would press it once, and God help me, if it was one of my loved ones (family & friends), Id go jump off a cliff, couldnt cope knowing Id killed somebody I love

If it was random, Id press it twice, so my kids (when I have them) would be fit for life too, but still fill hugely guilty but you wont know who died so it would pass over (but just thinking about taken somebody away from people who love them is horrid).

Hahah I honestly didn't even remember seeing the trailer till you mentioned it. I saw a similar post on another forum and thought it would spark up an interesting discussion.

Wasn't it a ghost story before a film? Did anybody else hear that, I heard when I was a kid and the person asks after they press the button who died and the man says the person who pushed the button before you!

Not me, I assure you.

I don't care for people I don't know. I am not a charitable person, nor do I do anything if it's not for my own gain. I cherish the one's close to me, but I'd **** all over everyone else.

I'd push it once if there was a 1/10,000 chance a close relative would die.
I'd also only push it once if there was a 1/10,000 chance someone I don't know would die. One million is enough for me, I wouldn't take someone's life for another million.

It's not that bad!
I'd feel guilty if I killed two but not one for some reason.
