I think you are confusing 'mannerisms' with having a gentle nature. He is an unassuming and gentle character - not an exhibitionist like many on that show. That does not make him gay!

pmsl he so blatantly is. in regards to stereotyping and what not, people, stereotypes are there for a reason because 9/10 times they apply.

and if people saying that someone who seems to most to be gay is gay is the reason why so many gays are afraid to come out, then exactly what message does a mature gay guy who won't come out for fear of losing some tweens buying his record send out?

Quite an allegation - especially considering you have no evidence for that whatsoever! Simply your own vivid imagination going into overdrive. Stereotypes are often based on ignorance - not fact! Joe is not sending out any messages - you just seem to be receiving imaginary ones!
