BB11UK, you said a gay guy who is manly background like boxer dad or an army gay.

Why not just a regular gay guy? Like not an extremly camp one who is a dancer/fashion designer, but not at the other nd of the scale, who thinks he is an inspiration because of his story.

Why not a gay guy who doesn't boast about his sexuality by either what he wears or because he defeats stereotype. Why not a gay guy who doesn't mention it, but because its just him?

Basically a funny normal guy who happens to be gay...

Because one of Big Brother's biggest achievements is putting certain stereotypes in the house to show people that there is more to them than what their stereotype says, and therefore defeating the stereotype.

So far the only lesbians on BB have been BB5 Kitten and BB10 Lisa - both of which are "manly butch" type lesbians with short/shaved hair, piercings, etc. By putting in a pretty lesbian that doesn't look like a stereotypical lesbian, it will defeat the stereotype that they're all butch manly women with skinheads, piercings and tattoos.

And the gay men from previous series have been in performing arts, fashion, etc. By putting in a gay guy who is from a masculine background it goes against the stereotype that "camp guys are from mostly feminine backgrounds" or are involved with stereotypical gay lifestyles, hobbies, etc.

I also put a young gay guy, as the gay guys from previous series have been in their twenties or older, and the lives of gay people are changing with each generation. Homophobia in schools has increased by dramatic amounts, as have the amount of reported homophobic attacks in the UK. 85% of lesbian, gay and bisexual people under the age of 25 said they were the victims of homophobia at school. This is causing a lot of younger gay people to fear "coming out" as they are worried about what their parents, friends and peers will think of them and their sexuality. This fear is increased even more for young gay people from a background such as the military as their parents (mostly fathers, but there are women in the army) have been brought up in a very masculine upbringing.
By putting them in the house it will send out the message: "Look, their parents didn't disown them and they're in the Navy/Army, etc." They don't have to wear their sexuality on their sleeve to send out a message as strong as this.

They won't put someone in the house with an eating disorder.

They've already had ex-anorexic Nikki Grahame on Big Brother and that did enough to highlight the issue. Complaints were made the Endemol for putting her in the house, as they didn't understand how she could be cleared after having a pychological test when she is an ex-anorexic.

It's the same reason Kerry Katona was seen as "unfit" for CBB7 because she has Bipolar Disorder and why Paul Gascoigne was denied the right to be a housemate for being a on-off recovering alcoholic.

Because there have been "regular gay guys" in the house before.

BB2 Brian - flight attendant
BB2 Josh - model
BB5 Marco - extremely camp
BB5 Jason - bisexual flight attendant (who later admitted he lied about being bi)
BB5 Dan - regular gay guy
BB6 Derek - posh gay guy
BB6 Craig - regular gay guy
BB6 Kemal - bisexual cross-dresser
BB7 Richard - butch but camp gay guy
BB7 Shahbaz - muslim gay guy
BB7 Michael - regular gay guy
BB8 Gerry - european gay guy
BB8 Seany - "raver" gay guy
BB8 Craig - regular gay guy
BB9 Dennis - gay dance teacher
BB10 Charlie - Mr Gay UK runner-up
BB10 Rodrigo - recently-realised bisexual
BB10 Freddie - bohemian bisexual
BB10 David - fashion-obsessed gay guy
BB10 Siavash - iranian fashion-obsessed bisexual

There are a few that represent a specific background/community/profession, etc. and others that seem to be very similar to past HMs.

There hasn't been one that has come from a masculine background, and as BB likes to show a variety of different backgrounds and characters it would be good to see this person as a HM in the final BB.

It's the outrageous housemates that are the most entertaining, although they are known by the public and the press as the "freaks".

I'd like to see:
1. A punky-pop girl who isn't a lesbian or manly (like Avril Lavigne and Hayley Williams).
2. A preppy guy (can only think of BB7 George, and he walked).
3. A proper geek (chess club member, etc).
4. A girly-girl lesbian (like Sam Fox + Portia De Rossi).
5. A young gay guy (18-20) from a masculine background (like; his dad is a boxer or he himself is a soldier), he therefore has a story to tell other than "I'm a dancer or fashion designer".
6. A really clever glamour model (like a Law Student who does glamour modelling)
7. A strict Christian (with a Gay Rights campaigner).
8. A hippie (BB10 Bea and Freddie were Bohemian, not hippies).
9. A contortionist or Circus performer.
10. A strict feminist.
11. A mature MILF aka A Cougar (Think Stiffler's mum off American Pie)
12. A chavvy guy (The sort of low-life off The Jeremy Kyle Show).
13. A really upper-class girl who isn't a complete bitch (BB7 Grace was all "look at me and my money")
14. A Thai-bride.
15. A goth/emo guy.
16+17. A gay hunk + straight hunk (like BB9 Dale/Stuart and BB10 Tom).
18. A black guy who is more reggae than rap (think Bob Marley instead of Jay-Z). Kinda sick of seeing "the rapper/gangster" guys (BB10 Cairon, BB6 Science, BB5 Victor).

What do you think?
Any you really like/dislike?
What other kind of person would you like to see in the BB11 house?
I like all your ideas

Would be interesting to see you with a young gay guy who is the total opposite - superficial city boy who is like a male Paris Hilton/Victoria Beckham.

How about having furries in there...

2 to be precise... One being of the 'CSI' stereotype... (Basically wear the costumes as a kink of some kind...

And a 'normal furry' Who just sees it as a bit of fun and randomness...

There will be so many 'cat' fights it would be funny XD

I would probally fit into the geeky catergory, however I not like 'chess club' type... but I am reasonably inteligent. XD Just cant spell for toffee! XD

Beinazir BB10 - Pakistani
Shahbaz BB7 -Pakistani
Cairon BB10 - American

And there are loads more.

I think there have been enough foreigners in BBUK now. People want more Brits in the British BB.

That's like BB10 Cairon. He's British but he was raised in Florida so he has an American accent.
