I love Sov in and out if the house. This is how she talks in her music. She keeps saying that she's been quiet and not herself, so maybe she just feels more comfortable with him because he gets her. We all talk differently in diferent situations, like work or with your mates.

The way you use or abuse (depending on your point of view) the English language has nothing to do with any aspiration to be Black, you are just reflecting an aspect of your culture and experience. I would not swear in front of my Nanna out of respect and plus she would not understand, but in front of my mates i swear rediculously, they get it, it is part of our group culture.

Sov is just adjusting her language to fit in with the company, on the surface it may seem a tad fake, but we all do it you know.

The point i thought was she uses slang with some people and not others, my original point was to state the reason as being, a horses for courses attitude to social interaction. I think she fancies Sisco and so she uses Slang to mirror his alternate Slang. If she also uses slang with the other people you mention then i would assume the same Horses for courses attitude applies.
