Roosevelt, the American civil rights movement, the Stonewall riots and gay rights movement, the (much belated) liberation of Confederate slaves in the War of Independence, assisting us in the World War II, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War

The bad: The KKK, Richard Nixon, Henry Kissinger, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, the CIA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, Born Again Christianity, televangelism, reality TV (MTV: Real World) mormonism, country music, the revival of classical economics, the Iraq War, the first Gulf War, the Vietnam War, the Wall Street Crash/Great Depression (leading to crisis in the Weimar Republic which led to the rise of the Nazis), taking all the credit for winning WWII, even though it mightn't have happened in the first place if it hadn't been for them
