Vafunculo! (or Vai a fare in culo). One of the first phrases I learned when I was living in Italy many years ago. It basically means "Go ***** yourself"! Sounds so much nicer in Italian!

"Salchichas"
Spanish for sausages ![]() Also "Infarto"! Although it has the much darker meaning of heart-attack, it's a word that makes me giggle

Shadenfreude - roughly meaning 'a wicked satisfaction at the misfortune of others' (especially when they are generally seen as deserving of this misfortune).
Trust the Germans to have a special word to sum-up this whole feeling |

Favourite German word at the moment: Oachkatzlschwoaf
![]() It's a word in an Austrian dialect for Eichhörnchenschweif, which is the tail of a squirrel - great fun to get people to try and say! Last edited by MusicMan; 16-02-2014 at 06:35 PM. |
