The show would completely lose its appeal without the benefit of viewers interaction and the ratings would plummet further still. Watch the Real World or Bad Girls Club if you hate evictions.

And on that note, if you don't want most people to strongly disagree with you, then you could start by not posting pigheaded, narrow-minded threads like this.
Viewers WOULD interact by voting on punishments. Your reply shows you never considered my OP and your comment here is spammy at best and infantile at worst.

I know... astonishing isn't it that most people don't care for your "idea"? How ungrateful and ignorant. I bet Channel 4's board of directors are reading this right now and putting in a good word for you to Endemol.

If the creative team had thought of this sooner BB wouldn't be axed now and hundreds of jobs would have been saved!

I am going to assume this comment is a joke or some form of self-deprecating irony. Either that or you are genuinely unaware of how repititious and spammy your own posting habits are.

Viewers WOULD interact with the show by voting on punishments. You claimed there wouldn't be viewer interaction. You were wrong. I pointed this out and you can't handle it.

It's worked perfectly in recent years. Hira in BB10 being a recent example.

I suspect if BB did change to this format then the OP would still be complaining that his favourites were being punished all the time. Also considering the temperments of the likes of Shabby, she would probably walk out after a few punishments once realising how the public feel about her.

I don't think it would work.

No, I would be happy even if my favourites were punished. Why? Because I enjoy the arguments in the house! That is what BB is all about.

Exactly.

Well Said.

They should perhaps change it to Vote to Save but hey its too late now, plus EVICTION is something unique to Big Brother and I love how other TV Show try to copy that.

Eviction obviously means being kicked out of a house and its great to Evict someone we hate.

But at the same time we do loose entertainers.
I think they should do a vote to save sometimes, but not all the time.

I think a Vote 2 Save and a Double Eviction would get rid of maybe Dave, Steve or Ife.

Which would be great.

Okay okay, I see where you are coming from and it's not something I would sniff at if that's the direction it took, but you still need to stop belittling people who don't agree with you and just accept when a certain topic has been done to death.

I feel like I am having to explain that 5+5=10, yet everyone says 11. THAT is how frustrating these idiots are.

WildCat - I disagree COMPLETELY with your original post and your theory about scrapping evictions.
Your childish efforts to try and get people to agree with you is amusing: people are "thick", "moronic" and "cowardly" if they are not of the same opinion as you?
That is a pathetic way to forward an argument.
If you feel that strongly about the subject, why not let your reasoning and ideas prove the point you are making, instead of silly personal remarks!
And I notice the word "banned" under your username as I write this, so that says a lot
That aside, I think the evictions are a focal point of the show: without them, the show wouldn't progress, and we'd have 14 or so people on the final night, which would be ridiculous. I don't think the evictions are the problem. Either way, any problems with the show and/or its format are too late to try to solve now that we are on the last series (unless of course it were to move to another channel, but that remains to be seen).
Bottom line: BB would lose A LOT of its fans if the evictions were to be scrapped.
And I would like to assert the fact that my intelligence remains unaltered by the belief of that opinion.
