The most scared I have been in the past is when my dad had a car accident. I thought he was going to die.

Falling ill, whatever it may be even if it's a small, common cold. Being ill or feeling like I'm getting sick terrifies me.

Say if someone in my college class has been ill, I will go extremely out of my way to constantly wash my hands after touching surfaces that may have "illness germs" on them. Kind of OCD in a way I guess.

Don't even talk to me about vomit, either.

I suppose I also have a thing about acceptance. I crave being accepted and will not be my 100% self if I think it means that people will not accept me.

Similar to Shaun a bit. Claustrophobia.

Waking up in a coffin and realised I was not dead but could not get out.
Has anybody seen a film called "Double Jeopardy"?
A woman was trapped in a coffin, luckily she had a gun so she managed to break the coffin and escaped. The scene was so scary just think about it.
I must make sure I will have a bell in my coffin. ha ha

Entering an old escalator, scary moment. I always make sure there is any emergency button.

In the past the most horrified thing was;
It was too long story but I arrived in a country for a week holiday, only was told I needed visa which I did not and was asked to leave the country immediately.

My loved one's dying. I watched my Nan die holding my hand and it was the most heartbreaking thing i've ever had to witness in my whole life. I never, ever want to experience the pain of anything like that ever again.. and that scares me so much because i know it will happen again to my other loved ones sooner or later. I stupidly pray and ask that no one else will die but in reality of course i know they will

Fear itself. It's a right pain in the ar$e sometimes. I mean obviously biologica/reactionary fear is important, the fight or flight instincts that all creatures possess, but it can be a hugely debilitating factor for the sentient, perceptive beings that we humans are so caught up with irrational fear and anxiety. That's how wars, violence, depression etc set in.

Losing someone close to me. I know it's a cliché, but I genuinely would take a bullet for my family and close friends if push came to shove. Purely in a selfish way though, like, I wouldn't want to live if I didn't have certain people around, and losing them would be too much to take.

That and being buried alive are my only fears really. I've never been properly scared.

I fear not having the same mind I do now when I am older. Like how people fear loosing the ability to walk, but mental rather than physical. I fear not feeling as creative or whatever as I do now. Not being in the same frame of mind, so to speak. Dementia and Alzheimer's terrify me, and if I stopped being myself I would just go down the path of Euthanasia.

Death? Fuck death. Death is a preferable option to many other more interesting fears.

My husband loved ballroom dancing.

When he was young, he used to say, if he could not dance for any reasons, he would kill himself.

Now he is on wheelchair (failed spinal operation) and shows early stage of dementia. Before his meals he cleans his hands throughly. One time I told him the hands have full of jam. It shows clearly he wants to live.

Sometimes I suddenly worry things. but I am not good at thinking too complicated matter. Think about it some other day.

It's a terrible thing to see a person you love struggling or in pain. You have my sympathies hun. Don't worry; you're there for him and he knows and loves you even more for it, that's all that matters.

Awfully sorry to hear that sooty.

I think some people's will to live, whatever the circumstances is remarkable. You should be really proud of him and yourself. I find that I have learned to value life above all other things as I've matured.

My biggest fear is definitely losing loved ones, especially my kids. I just do not know how parents cope with that. I was at a friends funeral the other day; he was the same age as me and to see his parents grief was devastating. Obviously, I dread anything happening to my mum and other older family memebers but I realise that it is inevitable, whereas losing a childs is something I don't think any parent should have to face.. it's just a horrific thought..

My other main fear is fire... I've been involved in a few fires and since then I feel panic if I see or smell fire and even get nervous if I see firemen. I have a bedtime routine which involves unplugging everything in the house apart from the fridge/freezer and I test the smoke alarm probab;ly more often than is necessarry!

I suppose the last time I felt scared was after my mum had been in a serious car accident and the b!tch nurses at the hospital wouldn't let me see her or tell me anything about her.. I asked if she was still alive and they just said "we can't tell you anythin". It's the only time I remember feeling panic; I was frantic. (The nurses were very lucky to not have a few injuries themselves!)

Oh and when I had to go to hospital to have my wisdom teeth removed.. I felt fear that day!

Don't be silly. You don't have to be embarrassed about it at all. It was lovely and touching to hear you being so candid about your situation. Makes a change to the usual stuff you get online.

It sounds stupid although its probably quite common but moths.I think it stems from when I was about 5-6 and I was on a day trip to flamingo land with my mam and her friend and her daughter. There was a huge moth at the back of the coach and my mam was going mad trying to get it out lol.Ever since then I`ve been petrified of moths,I don`t even get scared by other insects, give me a spider anyday but moths, yuck.
When I was little, before I`d even been on a flight I had a really bad phobia of flying.I diddn`t go on a plane until I was 18 and by then I was absolutly fine and now I love flying however when I was little I was really terrified by the thought of ever getting on a plane.
I was scared of everything as a child tbh,I was fascinated by the after life, religion, superstition and myths/legends.I would read books about them and I loved it but it terrified me at the same time.
