I've taught some kids/teens with aspergers and JJ definitely does not have aspergers, so far JJ has been accused of many things, he's generally a decent guy.

Okay people are being way too harsh on the OP.

Some people don't fully know what their on about. It's not really right to say that JJ doesn't have any of the signs whatsoever. To be honest there are a lot of symtoms of the syndrome and therefore many people have signs of it, even if they don't have asbergers (JJ possibly falls into this category).

And Speedster what you said was more relevant to ADHD. Asbergers' are more extrovert yeah, but not neccesarily hyperactive. They're intense... definitely very intense.

Anyway I said in my other post that for the most part the people who actually know that they have asbergers' know because they have an intense spectrum of it... people such as myself, with an incredibly mild spectrum, may go a lot of their life if not all of it without knowing. I was only diagnosed last year and I don't consider it a problem... other than that my mum seems to love talkin' about it.

Yeah autism.. aspergers.. etc.. it is on a large scale. It can go from.. having it mild.. to having it severe.

Gosh, all these differential diagnoses going around!
We could really throw the ICD 10 manual at him, not the diagnoses they contain ... we could just throw books at him.

I don't get why people so often view psychiatry in such a negative light. Well firstly they're afraid of it actually, not that they'd easily admit to that.

I started seeing a psychiatrist when I was 15 and screw the fookin' stereotypical psychiatrist with the laying on a couch and all that $hit that really pisses me off. It's really helpful and my psychiatrist (though like 25 years older than me) just feels like a mate now. I just go and talk to him and have a laugh with him and I'll be leavin' him in about a month actually.

Yeah I used to see psychiastrists and that. I also went to speech therapy too. I stopped going to hospital and that for it in my early teens. I am fine with my learning ability and that.. but I am just cautious of "people" at my tender age of 21.. lol. Well nah I am fine really. People should just do what they want and f uck conventional living in a way.

I have trust issues.. I think. To be honest.. I used to hate liars too. Well it is like with people.. "having a go" it is like I always had to prove myself. I think "people" around me too often cause more harm than good. I used to be optimistic around people. Try and see the best in them but now I am like.. mm.. can't trust anyone at times.

I think it is because I have been hurt by a lot of people. So that I am happier on my own. Well I have like one friend now.. or friends I talk to now and again. I think I need to find the right people to connect with really.

Yeah see that's a huge part of my philosophy - social networking is awful.

I signed up a facebook account cos' I was basically forced to but I never go on it and I find it incredible that people can get addicted to this site on which you look at peoples' profiles, look at pictures, read about every little part of peoples' private lives that they love to publish, and poke each other. A lot of the status updates on facebook often tend to be people showing off about how good something they've just done is, or how they passed their driving lesson I don't get why people want to show off... and moreso don't get why they want to share details of their private lives with many many people... many of whom they don't really know at all.

Yeah I agree. Omg I have like 200 and something friends on it.. couldn't care if anyone deletes me though! A few years ago I used to be like.. with friends.. "aww please tell juicy gossip" and I really wanted to know people's secrets and sh!t but now.. I just don't give a sh!t and can't stand using bastards. There is only my friend and bf who give and take with me.. the only ones I know care for me.. pick me up in their car.. etc.. sum1 who I hardly know wanted a lift home but I know they don't like me.. so I had a go and said NO! There is only a few people in my life I would be sad if they were gone.. my friend, bf, and my mum and dad, suppose my grandparents too.. it is true.. you can choose your friends but not your family! lol. Well I have other friends too.. but it seems more like aquaintances because I don't like getting too close with many people.

Anyway yeah Facefake.. I only pop on.. now and again to see if I have got anything but it is a load of sh!te.

I like to come on here because I am a fan of BB.. and no one who I really know watches it.. so.. I thought.. well this is a nice site.. usually.. lol just to talk to randomers about the show and other shizz

Patrick explained it very well.

It's more of a hinderance than a help. I mean I know about the focussed thing I know $hit loads about the film industry, films of many different generations. Watched hundreds of films, am familiar with hundreds of actors I know about how films did in the awards and the years they came out and stuff.

Similar with other things, like football, I can remember so much information about the history of the British football leagues and the history of the world cup and stuff, not even sure how I do it I find it easy. Unfortunately I could never remember anything maths related... (I have some issue with maths in which... basically I can't understand it like it's a different language... similar for Science... well Science is like Italian for me I understand it a little bit but not enough to get by haha).

Well... here's the thing, if I'm not interested in something, and especially if I have no angle (nothing in it for me/I see no purpose in doing it/I don't understand why it's important to me) then I simply can't learn about it. Needless to say I didn't do well in school. I only did well in two subjects - Literacy and Food technology... I'm kinda' like Nathan when it comes to cooking.

I don't think he appears to be autistic really.

You know he might not have asbergers' he may actually have intense paranoia issues, or ADHD or maybe errr... bi-polar personality is it... damn I forget what it is but basically it means manic depressive I believe... I don't like that term though I think it's misleading. I think they call it bi-polar...

That's it thanks.

Basically I think there's a whole array of issues/disorders whatever that JJ could be suffering from. Doesn't have to be asbergers', but he shows traits of it.

Not any way, shape or form. People with Asperger's are normally shy, hermetic and naive and would have severe difficulty coping in a house full of nutters. They are also eccentric and idiosyncratic.

Now look at John James. He is the personification of boring, braindead conformity.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder describes him perfectly though...
