They see when people on forums are saying that the flood was staged, but yet they never seem to listen when people on forums come up with ideas that would improve the show and prove that some of the twists and tasks just don't cut it anymore.

I think its true that the socks blocked the drains, seems reasonable and the housemates did put them up there.

Sorry but what are the odds of 8 pairs of socks landing on the same gutter/drain?

Even if they did, the rain would just overflow and spill out the side - not somehow make it's way on the roof.

The rain was clearly beating the fragile roof.

Biggest load of shi* ever.

People doubting that balled up socks can block the flow of water in a roof gutter - next time it rains climb up the top of your house and put some in the gutter

See what happens

They should have done a proper job and paid for it before launch, then they wouldn't be in this mess.

It's all BS imo, they're just covering their arses.

All they had to do was get off their fat arses and clear the gutter once in a while and it wouldnt have happened

Gutters go a bit UNDER the edge of the house, so the water would not have overflowed about 2 inches high up onto, and then in the middle of the roof. Either way the roof was unstable.

Arista, watch it again on +1 and see if you think that there is any possibility that PEJ was joking when he said it

What a stupid, stupid reason. Ok, let's assume the 8 socks did by large coincidence land on the exact place to block the gutters why did staff not remove them? Did the staff not care to see where the socks landed in case of an emergency? Was a risk assessment not carried out when the house was designed?

Maybe the staff forgot to remove them or didnt realise they had rolled into th gutter.

Do normal risk assessments cover socks?
