'transgender' people are statistically insignificant but for some reason lesbians, gays and bisexuals form a group and include themselves with transsexuals?
Odd.
We associate ourselves because we all have something in common-Being different from the norm.

Sure, then why exclude so many other groups that are different from the norm? I was reading about a type of sexuality with shoes. Yes, I said shoes. In many cases they find that these 'shoe-sexuals' are not just infatuated with shoe sex but must have shoes involved or they cannot even become aroused. The idea of sex without shoes is unappealing to them.
OK.
But it's not the SLGBT community is it?

People can do what they want but I just think its an unusual mix of just these hand-picked sexual deviations. Lesbians don't have anything to do with gay men.
One could argue that lesbians are much more aligned, related and 'closer to' heterosexual men.
Here I'm just pointing to the unusual alignment in this 'lgbt' thing.

I'm not bothered by it but I have always thought it was a peculiar idea and seems mostly imaginary anyways.

that begs the question....

how about an incestuous couple?

how would a brother and sister couple fit into this discussion/debate or brother/brother, sister/sister

Sure but they are attracted to the 'opposite gender' of the other.
If you're going to argue an alignment this way then:
Gay men attracted to: Men.
Heterosexual women: Men.
X-many Transsexuals: Men.

Whats so difficult to understand? He deliberately targetted her as part of his trouble causing tactics. She made it clear she wasnt gonna be bullied in there. So BB had to choose one or the other.

So they kicked out the bully. Simples. Seems they both got what they wanted. Assuming he still got paid his full fee.

So you don't think her behaviour is bizarre, irrational at all?

I mean... how many people have you know react like that to something like that before?

He hid her shoe...

Nadia is a female now. So could you please stop calling her a he.

Its like calling a married women by her maiden name.

I don't agree at all with your analogy but to go with forum guidelines I will call Nadia a she and her but I don't agree with it.

I don't appreciate somebody forcing political persuasions on me. I wouldn't force them on somebody else so don't give me this form of reverse-fascism.

No

I'm a well educated, published and well respected academic in this field who has worked with numerous small groups and sub-cultures?

Why? Do you think people who don't pander to political influences and commercial pressures are from biblical times?

Not at all i just feel that your beliefs are very dated

It's 2010 why don't you evolve and learn to accept that not everyone is the same as you and other people's life choices have nothing to do with you

There is a difference between discrimination and debate.

Everything is open to debate. I never said somebody was not my equal so where is the discrimination?

I Can't quite see where you have gone wrong here MassiveTruck, maybe people reading between your lines.

Your right though debate is not on most people's agender anymore. More like, i have lived for 20 years and i know it all, and what you said was homophobic RIGHt!!

I'd personally refer to her as a she, because i believe in the possibility of a female brain, finding its way into a Male body.

Noone is fit to judge anyone elses life choices unless they have been in their shoes so just give it a rest because this "debate" is just going round in circles

We make judgements about others' life choices all the time! We don't have to be in a wife-beaters shoes to decide wife-beating ain't a good thing!

I just hope Nadia paid for her own "gender reassignment" and didn't come here from Portugal so that UK taxpayers (e.g. me!) would fund what is, from a medical point of view, a totally unnecessary operation - followed by a lifelong course of hormone therapy.

Bull**** this is completly different lol

Everyone knows beating a woman is out of order but you cannot comment on a person needing to have gender realignment surgery because you dont know how hard it is for them.

Your being rediculous

I will just quote Paul McHugh, Professor of Psychiatry, and one of the world's experts, on the subject of gender reassignment surgery/therapy:

"To perform physical gender reassignment is to co-operate with a mental illness rather than try to cure it."

Let us leave it there. Goodnight!

anyone who is efficient with google will know you can find nearly any argument backed up by research or some "professor" or other... apparently paul Mchugh is a 79 year old practicing catholic from america ... so i'm going to judge him now, he is an elderly man who believes in a supernatural being who created the world and who now communicates through the pope, and he is an american academic (rolls eyes). can you guys find anyone to back your arguments up who is not elderly hereditary peers or wacko religious academics?

Tax payers fund all sorts of unnecessary surgery.

Such as boob jobs and gastric bands.

I dont really see the difference.
