Popular Judge you say? By that you mean with the idiots who think this show is actually a talent contest? She's never had a poor category but as somehow managed to ****** up along the way. Remember her putting Lloyd thru last year.

As for her 'success'. She's been lucky. She was the last girl picked for GA hooked up with a footballer and rode out all the limelight. Has she ever written a song, performed a truly live performance? No to both I'm afraid.
Piss easy to claim she had best category and luck etc etc Thats a cop out. Nobody achieves what she has by pure luck and chance. She has built up a huge amount of popularity in this country and is one of the most famous female celebs we have. Go on, poo poo that claim as Im sure you will. But its obviously true.

Its not her voice that has made her this huge...its her personality. And her beauty of course. But beauty can also make you unpopular too.

But your flippant dismissal of her achievements is just blatant ignorance. Yes, really.

Joe and Alexandra were not run away winners. Cheryl guided and mentored them to victory. But she's a crap judge? Again, makes no sense.

Alexandra was the weakest in her category, she didn't find her place on the show until at least week 5. The boys were also the weakest category at the time of the live shows beginning last year

Who's she popular with? The discerning music fan? I think not. As I said in my previous post its the idiots who think the show is actually a talent contest.

Personality? Is that the same personality that viscously assaulted a toilet attendant over lollipops? A charge she was found guilty of, by the way. Lovely girl.

Alexandra was strong in every single week but due to negative comments from Simon the dumb public didnt see it.

Newsflash; not all toilet attendants are sweet innocent angels. Some of them deserve a slap.

Viciously assaulted? Yeah, ramp up the adjectives to make it seem like a scene from a horror movie!

She got into an altercation with a woman and gave her a quick slap. Really, it happens thousands of times day in day out. Sadly, the tabloids are strangely uninterested unless its a famous celeb involved.

Vocally yes, for relevance? Definitely not when up against Laura and Diana. For the first few weeks she was too predictable doing the big diva songs that have been done a billion times before. Alex was also behind in the voting for the first few weeks

Why would a discerning music fan be watching X Factor? Its everything most of them stand against. As for the old toilet attendant chestnut, people change, people grow up. And I don't think many people can hand on heart say they have never given anyone a good slap or punch.

Vocally good but not relevant? I have no idea what that means. And I'm sure you dont either.

She may well have changed but it happened, its documented and is a slur on the Golden girls character.

She was brilliant vocally but that doesn't mean you're guaranteed a successful music career or that there is somewhere for you to fit in does it? Alex sung very well but was very old fashioned and typical until the latter stages of the competition. Shes done really well off the back of X Factor but based on the first few weeks you wouldn't have imagined the eventual route she did go down. Most dismissed the idea of her winning and in the then unlikely situation that she did thought she'd be in Leona's shadow because of the expectation to release ballad after ballad. Meanwhile Diana & Laura both had an obvious slot to fill and there had been noone like them on X Factor before them. Ultimately Alex was forgettable

Really? In those first weeks Simon was comparing her to Whitney then Mariah Carey and acting like this was a bad thing. I think you take too much stock in the warped world of Simon Cowell who has an agenda to make money out of the winning act.

...at which point they expected/wanted the winner to be Diana hence the winners song. That idea went tits up after the sore throat thing, and they didn't really engineer anything for Alex until towards the end, by which point Alex was already cemented in the competition and no longer forgettable

Im really upset cheryl is getting so much hate over this. She picked quirky artists and personally I think its better than predictable ballad singers. And as much as I love gamu. She is a bit bland. Great voice but can you really see her doing well with the music industry we have today. Quirky artists are the big thing at the moment. Two words- lady gaga. But hope gamu gets the wildcard because I do like her a lot. But anyway yeah I love cheryl

Sense at last!

And Gamu the moo is a hopeless cause as far as chart success goes. Truth is, she effing dull. Dull dull dull.

Unlike Leona Lewis who's as bright as a button eh? Its amazing how you think you can predict chart success.

Well considering Leona was constantly compared to the likes of Whitney and Mariah and didnt take a brainstorm to spot her chart potential.

And she had the right image.

Gamu doesnt. She looks like a mong. Its not like her personality compensates either...

Alexandra Burke was compared to them but Simon acted like this was bad.

Leona didn't have the right image, she had talent. And thats what it should be about. ****** the quirkiness, the fashion whatever, the supposed marketability, talent is what is should ALL be about. I've been saying it for years.

Rubbish. Talent is not an exact science. Great personality is the best talent any human can have IMO. A great voice isnt gonna make you loved or win you friends in life. Nor is it any use without a good song.

Again, I could name 50 well known artists who are not great singers technically. Madonna being the ultimate example. But she is a creative force and has hunger and drive.

You should widen your outlook a bit more.
