Remarkable used to make it but Initial are doing it now which in itself will bring big changes because the entire production team is different. And I'm guessing the channel that comissioned it will have a big say in the tone and advertising of the show even if they aren't producing.

I'll probably hate it. I hated last year because they tweaked it with the likes of the music, robots, people who weren't housemates coming in and out, etc. When I say I like Big Brother I really just liked the core format, twists etc. The way the series was for ten years. I highly doubt those days are coming back. I can see it going further down last years path of constant interference and trying to make it a show it's not.

The show I was a fan of isin't coming back, IMO. Hope I'm wrong.

Not entirely - one of the BB11 executive producers is keeping her job and a former Big Mouth exec prod is in charge of spin-offs

You mean Shirley Jones - she wasn't on the BB11 team. Sharon (Powers) works on Loose Women now

We've gotten barely any news and any news we have got has been pretty good for example:

The House returning
The 24hr Live Feed returning + multiple cameras
BBLB Returning
Prize Fund changing
Desmond wanting to return to the 'roots' of the show
The Theme of the Series
Daniel Eatock returning
Marcus Bentley returning

Personally I think all that news is great.

Any other 'news' has just been The Daily Star trying to create silly hype for the show by talking about potential housemates, that won't even enter the house anyway.

Honestly the only bad news is that Josie MIGHT be presenting BBLB and that CBB8 will air first.

Good post Patrick. If Marcus wasn't coming back, it would probably end up being the worst series ever but it seems Desmond will want to improve on it. Desmond will know what makes it good.

It is good news so far and especially anytime I hear 'return to roots'.
The law of diminishing returns worries me when I see it scheduled to return this Summer (even if later).
It makes me think a quick money-grabber is being thrown to squeeze the fastest 'diminishing return' as possible,

But I agree with some posters here saying everyone needs to stop expecting C4 Big Brother.

Ok!

Why would anyone want Big Brother back on Channel 4? A Channel that didnt want and was ashamed of it.

Channel 4 killed the show by treating the public like we couldnt handle seeing drunk people, a boob here and there and editing out and censoring anything remotley controverical (ie entertaining) as they were afraid they would offend.

Even the housemates were commenting on how tame last years was.

Im sure we all want Big Brother back in peoples faces like it was in the golden years.

DRUNKENESS, BITCHING, FIGHTING, NAKEDNESS, PARTIES, LAUGHTER.....

Channel 5 want the show! They are creaming their pants over it and will give it 110%!!!! This is a channel that is not afraid to be controvercial, Infact they welcome it. Its what BB deserves.

Channel 4 are so 2010 bring on Channel 5 and a new era of BIG BROTHER in 2011!!!!
