With the amount they have won: I'd be surprised if they didn't make quite a few 'millionaires' - I know for absolutely certainty that if were me, I would not think twice - people who have been true friends, would never have to worry financially ever again.

Can you imagine the 'good' that could be done. How fulfilling your life could be, visiting places all over the world if that was your thing, helping, seeing the results.....what a fantastic position to be in.

I agree, so much of that money can go to charity. It can infact completely change the lives of numerous charity organisations.

In the papers
that silly couple had to move out there home due to strangers asking direct for cash.

She said she thought of not going Public
that would have been better.

They thought they could stay in the house
after telling the World the place the live.
They have much to learn.

Here comes the down side of the lottery winners.... from a head f*** pov - it must be right up there in the top 10.

This is where they find their lives have now changed forever - and this is the down side coming into play. This is where they find who their true friends are.

I'd rather opt to call them naive - they've never experienced this before. I do however think they should have avoided the publicity until they got their heads around it all...and when it had sunk in, then made a decision on whether to go public - when they have grasped how this would change their lives.

Shame but it was a certainty to happen. As long as they are able to not let it 'get to them' - they have a lot of adjustment to do.

Good on them any derogative comments about them speak volumes about the morons making them.
They have already expressed a wish to set up a charitable organisation bless them x

Personally i would tell everybody that i planned to keep every penny and screw charity whilst simultaneously going about making decisions on how would be best to contribute a good chunk of it to help as many people/charitys as i could. Any haters would be exposed and seen for what they are.

I've always said that if I won that amount of money, I'd build my own little area with a few houses, and everyone that I loved would get their own house and we'd make our own little village with all of our massive mansions

I'd also give a lot of money to support local charities - the bigger and more well known ones all get a lot of money but quite often the smaller local ones, such as local hospices and animal shelters really have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to survive, so I'd like to make a big difference to them, rather than a smaller difference to another charity such as childline, which already gets a lot of money.

I would pack up and ship out to foreign shores - if I won anything that was truly substantial (ie: I mean a few million)

I live a life where I actually don't need too much to keep me happy - I don't need (or want) a huge amount of people around me.

I'd jaunt between some fab private tropical exotic beachhouse and somewhere in the middle of a forest - and be happy to become the next old Brigette Bardot, with my closest friends being at the end of a phone/keyboard and coming to visit.

If I won what this couple did... I'd probably do the same as you Lewis: give a lot of it away:
