Seems he was just assuming, though the fact that they played it on OKTV! without any channel 4 caption says that it isn't a rigts issue if they do change it.

Rights are owned by the label not the singer and the song was comissioned especially for the show by C4 so they will have wanted all rights to it.

Think so. Don't know if they need permission or just to pay royalties when it's used as a theme tune.

Just watched it back, that mix of the theme sounds different to all the ones I've heard, perhaps it's just been remixed?

The theme tune in the advert is the same as C4's but jazzed up a bit. And also at the start of Brians interview yesterday on OK!TV, they played the theme tune which was again jazzed up a bit. I hope this will be the official one as it sound really good!

Wait so if Channel 4 allowed them to use the Theme Tune surely they should of gave them the rights to use the eye?

I don't know if they own the eye template or not, I always thought Eatock did but someone on here said CH4 owned it.

I don't think channel 4 have anything to do with the eye. I just think channel 5 are such cheapskates that they cant even fork out for Daniel Eatock.

Depends who comissioned it, if Endemol used to comission it (think C5 are more involved than C4 were). Eatock wouldn't have owned it, he might have owned the template but not the eye logo and concept.
