Best comedy in the world bar none, too. Do we all have these friends like I do who watch Comedy Central all day and grimace when I suggest switching to Dave or G.O.L.D because they don't find that comedy funny? I have a few of these friends.

These people are retarded.

I have to agree!!

British humour is fab. The dry, deadpan delivery, especially of one liners that hit the mark - nothing quite like it.

There is a slight disparity between Becks getting his shorts a bit dirty and his boots scuffed for the money he gets per week, against your average squaddie actually getting slotted or worse still for most losing limbs etc for the pittance they get.

As for old Bin Laden's henchmen taking a pop, yeah right, those are drill rounds on the 0.5 and also on the gimpy on the table. They were in a nice safe compund, in the middle of a very large British base, within an even larger Combined International Forces base.

Lots of people around him with real guns and real bullets to stop anything happening to him. Tis the way of the Regi

if he was that good, he'd be able to 'see' the foul coming and avoid it

but this thread isn't about Beckham. I believe there's a football forum around here somewhere.

Don't get me wrong, I did say I was glad to have been brought up here and our History is great. But what about now at this present time? I'm finding it very hard to see why we are so great in this day and age. Yeah, given we are better off than most 3rd world countries, but I do feel we are becoming our own undoing and that this country is on it's way down very fast. For example if war were to hit us I believe this country would struggle as we barely have any of our own resources any more, we rely to heavily upon importing.

The British population just love to moan. As others have said we are very lucky and well off to have everything we do and we probably take it for granted. And although this country can be very **** at least overall the country is great

But we do it so succinctly.

Plus, we are very good at queuing up everso politely.

Who said Morris Dancing? Tis innevatable that the wee wee be taken Sir.

The humble origin of a global phenomi-nomi-nom

The Revolution spreads to every Hamlet and Village of thy Green and Pleasant lands as yee olde Church Bell chimbs to the hypnotic pulsating rhythms that is a Morrymans foot stomp.

Morris Dancing is infused with a new force of creativity to fight off the challenge coming from American Breakers, Pop & Lockers, and the Irish Jig

Pride in local community leads Morryman to offer services as mobile sleeping Policeman

International anger rages as Morryman is moad down in the middle of the street by a Humvee. Body popper held for questioning.

Who said Cornish Pasty then?

Great Britain has everything really. It does have a lot of fantasic places. People say to me.. a sunny day in Cornwall is a better beach holiday than Spain!! I have been to Cornwall and it's nice down there. Love the beaches!

We have London. Which is like a mini New York. Ok New York is in a league of it's own but if you want plenty of shopping, shows to see and sightseeing architectual buildings then there is your place!!

However go to York. Better than overated London

There is plenty of countryside. Pubs. Rivers. Boats. Etc. National parks, mountains!!

I think most people say they don't like Great Britain anymore because it is getting too densley populated. There is quite a few rough areas. I mean.. I am lucky to live where I live. However 10 minutes down the road it's a rough area. lol

So yeah when I can afford to I will get a house/flat in a decent area.

I don't think many people care about Great Britain anymore. This is why it's turning more into a ****hole. We are becoming quite weak as a nation with lack of boundaries so any riff raff is let into our community when they havn't paid the price of their mistakes. Or people taking handouts and there you go!

I don't mind it in Great Britain at the moment. I can see where Ben is coming from. I think the UK is gradually getting worse but there is still plenty of great qualities to it!

Not sure if I will be here 10, 20, 30 years time. I might have to emigrate to Australia/New Zealand or something which I wouldn't mind.

You get rude people everywhere. I think people are better all round in other countries. Is the UK the worst place for the type of people we have? I am not sure.

Home is where the heart is. I will always have a soft spot for where I have been brought up and will probably always want to come back to the place.

I think what Great Britain is missing out on is culture. For England we don't have a strong English culture anymore apart from your local Fish and Chips. Or the Royal Family. Which I don't mind but I wish it could expand it's horizons.

Indeed. Even I have lost the appreciation for what is great about this country along with what seems the majority of the nation.

I have never been to Scotland or Northern Ireland but I would love to go!

I think Wales, Scotland and Nortern Ireland are fine though. It's just that England is getting more densley populated and we can't fit everyone in.

Looks like we need to use more derelict land for caravans. Gypsies seem to have common sense. We need a load of caravans nowadays to fit everyone in!

Haven't they had loads of floods and cyclones recently or this year anyway?

Unless you have mummy and daddy's money or are get a job that pays very, very well, the average time estimated for most people to be able to save enough for just a deposit on a house for the first time is something like 15-17 years. Good luck with that.
