He was fully aware that the people who need to see what's going on (i.e. general public) would see how it all happened. He could've dropped her in it, but it would've escalated into a full on scrap and either way he would've ended up looking like the person at fault.
He wasn't in the wrong at all, why should he have been made to feel like that? He was obviously giving Rebeckah the chance to fess up herself and at least redeem herself a bit.
The only person at fault at all is that devious little **** rebeckah.

What you have said is absolutely true: he did and he made that obvious by the times he looked right at her.

If it was me though: given that it was clear she was not going to fess up - I'd have said then.

And definately later in the convo when she and Jay were speaking without Heaven being there and her saying she'd only said that she'd said Heaven was bossy...... if he couldn't say to her to her face whilst Heaven went to go get Tom - that man is a complete wimp.

I wouldn't want to be friends with a liar, especially one who expected me to corroborate their lies. You end up being tarred with the same brush.

In that house,Jay really owed none of them anything as he has only been in barely 2 weeks,however, Jay did a massive wrong though to Heaven, he allowed himself to be in the conversation she was having with Rebeckah, he knew totally what Rebeckah had said to him directly,when she she ran to him saying ''Jay,Heaven is eating all the stuff in there''.

Why he felt any need to cover for Rebeckah is beyond me, what an untrustworthy guy he really is.
I would have never covered for Rebckah in that situation, Jay should have said yes to Heaven that Rebeckah did come and tell me that.

It was then up to Rebeckah how she would have wormed her rotten way out of that one.
Jay was never a favourite of mine but he is despicable for allowing that to happen while at the same time hoping they were going to clear the air, what a hypocrite and a coward.

That is utterly ridiculous. Rebeckah has obviously worked her magic on you too, as the only person that has wronged anyone is that little ****. The only person at fault is Rebeckah, Jay would've been damned if he did and damned if he didn't. What he did was damage limitation and it worked, the argument dispersed and he made the littlest number of enemies in the process. If he'd gone the other route, he'd have made an enemy of Aden and maybe a few others. Plus Rebeckah will have twisted that again to make him look worse anyway.

I would have done the same, like he said he was being put on the spot and dragged into an argument that was nothing to do with him, he just didn't want to take sides and end up making things a whole lot worse than they could have been

It's hardly spineless to avoid getting involved in some petty bickering

Jay's seen how Rebeckah attacks and he didn't want to confront her. He knew that she wouldn't give in but would stick on her side of the story so he didn't bother with it. However, it might not have been the best thing to do. Well, he still got nominated by Rebeckah but at least she didn't bite his head off.
