If they have 0 replies and have been there a while I tend to ignore them, as obviously if it contained anything of interest then someone else would have posted.

If it has something ridiculous like 40 pages(which is rare for here) I read the current page then post.

If it has like 5 pages I usually read the whole thing.

I prefer threads with 10-30 replies...
